I have an emachines t2682 computer and i am wondering if i have a pci 16x slot or how to find out if i have one.

That machine doesn't have any PCI-E 16x slots.

Consider getting a PCI video card:

Your current video card, which is built-in to your motherboard:
Intel® Extreme Graphics 3D 64MB Shared memory

If you have the extra money, I highly recommend getting the X1550 instead of the 9250 as it's much faster and supports "Shader Model 2.0", which is very important for the new games.
