The Holy Bible was written by the prophets of God through dictates of God to them. They were anointed by God to write in place of God to let people know tht there is God who created mankind and a loving God to his creatures.

Hi and good morning....The Bible states that the writings and the Scriptures were inspired by God in the book Timothy and in the book Peter. Now the Dead Sea Scrolls had all the writings of the Old Testament except for Esther. In some of my research regarding this issue, I had come to find out that the Roman Christian scholars and 'others alike' decided what to place in the Holy Book and what not to place in the Book. Who inspired them on what to place or delete from the Holy Book? This is what puzzles me. It has been said and written that not all the Scriptures or writings were placed in the Holy Book. Why? What were in those other books or Scriptures that the Scholars didn't want us to know about? Why didn't they place all the Scriptures or writings in the Holy Book? Archaelogists had discovered books and writings from Judas and Mary Magdelene but they weren't placed in the Holy Book...why? They were both followers of Jesus. Mathew, Mark, Luke and John were disciples of Christ and their writings were placed in the Holy Book so why not Judas or Mary? In my opinion, and I'm a firm believer in my Lord, that the Old Testament was written by Divine-Inspirated prophets, however in the New Testament I feel that the writings were written by the Disciples that knew Jesus and had followed His teachings and His Father's teachings so they wrote what had been said and taught for future generations and believers in Christ. I wouldn't necessarily call the Disciples prophets but teachers and or scholars perhaps that devoted their lives to Christ. Have a very blessed day!

Name one other publication with 39 writers that agree? The fact that over a 1500 year span, these men wrote something that does agree and is found to be true is testimony to divine inspiration. The fact that Jehovah allowed them to use their own experiences and words shows His faith in these men as men have today with their secretaries. No one would disagree that without their help in improving the language of correspondences, companies might be at war with each other by now.

Matthew wrote in detail about numbers and facts from background as a tax collector. Luke was much more interested in the personal interactions and human side of the story from his being a physician. Moses had access to a great deal of information at that time and families concerned him as he dealt with large groups in his background. Paul was a lawyer and certainly wrote like one. Why use 3 words when 30 will do?

The point is, with all these diverse backgrounds, still 66 books were written in harmony with the overall theme of Jehovah's name is to be glorified by His creations and His original purpose for earth and man will happen just as He desires it no matter what man or Satan tries.

Which bible? If they were written by divine inspired prophets then there would only be one bible. There are differences in content that imply different sources. I am not referring to differences in style here.

Why not? I've received divine inspiration and have written it down. What's the problem with believing I'm not the only one?

No, if it was truly inspired by the divine and not written by the hand of man there would be no hatred within those pages.

I think some of it was.
Some, I think, was written by men who "thought" they were hearing God's voice.
If this were not the case, God would not have given the warning in Revelations about adding and taking away from the Bible.
He expected the Bible to be tampered with.
