twice. Not only that, but I've read other books, particularly the genuine Pauline epistles many times more than that (as a former Christian, I'm fascinated with Christian history). Yet, people who have clearly never even cracked the book open keep telling me to read it.

How frustrating do you think that is?

Relating to my previous question about fat Americans - If the USA is supposed to be a Christian nation and gluttony is a sin, why are Americans so fat?

I was wondering why the more religious the American is, the fatter he/she is. Why is that?
Example:
Noam Chompski – Atheist intellectual - Skinny as a rail
Jerry Falwell - Fat dead evangelical preacher - Fat as a walrus retaining water

I HEARTILY ACCEPT the motto, — "That government is best which governs least";(1) and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe, — "That government is best which governs not at all"; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have. Government is at best but an expedient; but most governments are usually, and all governments are sometimes, inexpedient. The objections which have been brought against a standing army, and they are many and weighty, and deserve to prevail, may also at last be brought against a standing government. The standing army is only an arm of the standing government. The government itself, which is only the mode which the people have chosen to execute their will, is equally liable to be abused and perverted before the people can act through it.

At work I am constaly being called someone elses name. I work in a place that over 80 employees but only three of us are African-American. What is fustrating about this situation is that I am constantly being called the other black womens names. We all are differnet people, and do not look alike nor do or names sound alike but we are constaly mistaken for one another. I do not know how the other women feel but this is a real problem for me (after trying to let it go before). Many of my co-workers will try to correct themselves as to why the called me so and so, only to stick their foot in their mouths. It is important to get the name right b/c their is legal documentation involved and we have been mixed up so much it has created a real problem that falls back on the (3) of us to fix it. Not to mention one of the ladies is not well liked and I frequently get in to trouble on her behalf alot. How can I address this problem and get white co workers to get the names right?

Let me begin by saying that not only is Craig a republican and an staunch defender of family values, but he is also married. Why then are the democrats launching a partisan attack on him based on his sexuality, which should not matter as long as he upholds family values and common decency. Democrats claim to be for gay rights but are very intolerant if it's for someone who opposes higher taxes and a secure foreign policy, which Craig does.

Granted the alleged charges are false and Craig is not gay, why do Democrats attack him with absolutely NO EVIDENCE to back up their claim???

Believers of global warming theory explain the lag something like this. Some event caused temperatures to start rising or falling for the first eight hundred years. CO2 levels start to rise or fall, effecting temperatures for the remaining 4 000 years. Is this a theory or is it scientifically proved? What scientific evidence exists to support this theory? How can one be sure that the event that caused the temperature change is not the factor for the remaining 4000 years as well with co2 levels playing a small or insignificant factor in the increase? Do you think it is misleading when Al Gore says in his film that the ice core samples are proof positive that co2 levels effect temperatures.
