What was your response and attitude towards the friendly sales rep whose attutide changed when they realized you had no intention of buying anything? I don't go to those. I was talked into it twice and hated the experience, even though I was up front about having no intention of buying anything.

I have no family history of cancers at all except an aunt who died from breast cancer. But, I have had ulcerative colitis for around 5-6 years in the entire colon (and 1 yrbefore that on the left side only). I am going to start my yearly screenings in a week..(full colonoscopy with biopsies) apparently because my risk of cancer increases after living with UC for that long.. should i be worried or are the chances still very slim? I ve been in remission for 5 years now but i read that the period in which the disease is in remission has no connection to the chances of getting cancer.. any thoughts?

Scientists admit that science does not and cannot offer absolute truth, because there is no way of knowing that. Scientists can discover aspects or attributes of absolute truth, even without knowing the “whole truth” or acknowledging the existence or the validity of the absolute or whole truth, just as a blind man can describe aspects or attributes of an elephant or a giant oak tree, without actually seeing or acknowledging it as it really is. Because, by virtue of his condition, the blind man is unable to see the object in its entirety and understand it as it really is.

A new super came in moments after a co-worker ran out of the room all upset about something. Her friend was right behind her. Super "where is everyone" I said "J" got all upset about something a ran out and "Y" chased after her, so me a super twiddling thumbs they did not come back for 45 mins. Next Day "J" rips me a new one for saying she left upset. Duh... I was being nice, I gave a good reason why she was not there, not, I don't know, which would make her look bad. These work place drama queens drive me crazy. We recently had someone else fired for work place aggression. I have plenty of stories, not enough time.

I thing Wolverine, Harry Potter, Toy Story 3, Thunder Cats, Thor, Terminator 4, and the Mummy 3 sounds good. What do you think?

A middle-aged couple had two beautiful daughters but always talked about having a son. They decided to try one last time for the son they always wanted. The wife got pregnant and delivered a healthy baby boy. The joyful father rushed to the nursery to see his new son. He was horrified at the ugliest child he h ad ever seen. He told his wife, "There's no way I can be the father of this baby. Look at the two beautiful daughters I fathered! Have you been fooling around behind my back?" The wife smiled sweetly and replied, "Not this time!"

My 2 year old is one of the best natured children I've ever been around. Very goofy, outgoing, and just all around happy. She always has been. She catches the random bugs going around but always bounces right back as any normal child does. Near the beginning of the summer I noticed the color on her forehead was significantly lighter than the rest of her skin, but very blotchy. She saw her doctor who wrote a referral to dermatology, but she can't be seen until February.

She's never had a ton of hair and it always looked kinda silly because it was a lot thinner on the top than the sides. Now she's 2 and it's still that way and recently when I comb it it's falling out. I'm certainly not combing it roughly, it's just coming out entirely too easy. I researched the symptoms and the only thing I came across was lupus. This has me very paranoid, but hopefully for no reason. I don't want to go to her doctor with such a guess if I'm completely wrong. Does anyone have any ideas??

I've finally been able to grow them out and they still peel!! Instead of splitting anywhere at the ends now they seem to split on each side - I polish them daily with a "protein no-splitting conditioner" and then a hard as nails top coat over that and nothing seems to be working.

It's really frustrating - any advice would be greatly appreicated!

As a seasoned performer of the arts, I pride myself on being unlimitedly open to other ideas. I wasn't always that way. A time back, I thought Sondheim musicals were the only musicals that should EVER be performed... lol But, now, I am more mature, older. I understand that it takes all kinds, raw, trained, young, old, racially diverse, tone deaf, method and works in progress, to be able to create the world of theatre. There are countless tales from seasoned, now famous and admired actors who were told to get the hell off the stage, out of film, because they couldn't become anyone....

I just wondered, if you guys have any stories about wind bag professionals who told you you weren't ever going to 'make it'... yet here you are, still doing it and loving it? Is there anyone out there who WASN'T discouraged by the non know it alls of acting and theatre?
