Well I live outside the blast area and by the time the blast hit me it would be depleted enough to survive. then I have a hunting cabin in the mountains that I would live in and BEG for the Bastards to come and get me.

I will answer your 2nd question first, yes, I have thought about it and if it does happen I would like to die right away, I wouldn't want the effects of the fallout to make me sick, etcl on your 3rd question, I think its more than likely that political members do give this a thought and hopefully do the right thing if it should occur. Now back to the 1st question, If these 4 major cities got nuked then the u.s.a. and surrounding countries will have major problems because one of the effects of nuclear weapons detonated on or near the earth's surface is the resulting radioactive fallout. Immediately after the detonation, a great deal of earth and debris, made radioactive by the blast, is carried high into the atmosphere, forming a mushroom cloud. The material drifts downwind and gradually falls back to earth, contaminating thousands of square miles. So with these 4 major cities, depending on which way the wind blows, I think most u.s.a cities will be contaminated by the fallout. For some death will happen right away, for others days or weeks. Some of the side effects are extensive internal damage, including harm to nerve cells and the cells that line the digestive tract. Temporary hair loss, etc. It will take several years for the radioactivity levels to drop low enough to be considered safe. You can go to http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/bomb/sfeature/1mtfall.html and find out more about NUCLEAR BOMBS. May God be with us if this should ever happen. PEACE!!!!!!!!!!

It depends which way the wind is blowing when it happens! Since it usually travels from west to east, then the east coast would get the most of the fall out from each of those nukes! It depends on many factors, such as season, time of day,how high the detonation was extended to by what altitude it fired at,the size of the weapon in kilotons or megatons, whether it was a dirty bomb or nuclear bomb, the amount of fuel stocks in the various cities at the time of detonation! They probably know just how far the nearest bunker is and in what direction it's located!

The entire Middle East would disappear, No TV, No Internet, No Food, No Transportation, Very severe Radioactivity and many, many deaths and
the aftermath of the US retaliation would make all of the wars that we have been in, look like picnics.
Question 2 - YES
Question 3 - YES!!!
PS - Anarchy would reign because there would not be government services, such as Fire and Police, also including Hospitals and the rest of the
infrastructure that every one is used to!! It would be a very BLACK DAY in the history of this country. Better hope and pray that this DOES NOT happen!!!!!!!!!!!

I have thought about it..if Washington got nuked that would mean our Government would not be there to help make decisions. Of course the President would have been carried off for protection purposes.
I would still depend on my God for answers and seek His will during that time of trouble.
Of course it would mean that things would change in the form of nuclear fallout and contaminated food supplies as well as those that may have survived but are contaminated.
It really is unknown what you can do even if you had a underground shelter to stow away in till danger passes.
People are called to help those people in distress.

I don't know how young you are, but most Americans grew up thinking we could be nuked on any given day.
People think that terrorism is some kind of unprecedented threat. When I was in grade school we had "duck and cover" drills where we would practise huddling under out desks in case an incoming ICBM was spotted. Some people had bomb shelters in their basements. I think Sears even sold them. And we were not even at war! I was too young to remember the Cuban Missle Crisis but my older cousins have told me about riding on their school bus and seeing missles raised to their launch positions at airforce bases near NYC.
So, yes, a lot of Americans have thought about this.
Check out the movie "The Day After" some time. They seem to play it on cable somewhat frequently. Movie made in 1983 or so about a nuclear attack on the US. Very realistically done and scary as hell.

The day those cities get nuked is the day a nuclear war starts and the human race consequently extincts itself. So theres not much to think about, it just can't happen.
