I was put in the mental ward of a hospital in CA 6 yrs ago for a suicide attempt, have spent the last several years rebuilding my life. I'm wondering if my past stay in the looney bin will prevent me from legally purchasing a handgun??? Anyone know about this?

Neighbors moved in last year & we were fast friends. One nite "Pam & Dick" came to celebrate.All had a great time, had several drinks & I said how great it was to have friends who loved & had no issues.They made a liar out of me!Dick left a earlier than Pam & we went to see what he was doing.He went home & drove off.Next morning Pam called early crying.He came home & beat her!She called the law & he was arrested.Other neighbors & I came to her rescue.We spent time wondering why. I asked if he did this B4 she said yes & I asked how often, she replied enough.A restraining order gave her a week.He called her & told her that it was MY fault!He returned early.My husband came home he told me he was over there(I can't see).I didnt call her.I didn't want to start any trouble & thought they might be working things out.arrested again for violating the order - he blamed me!Now she started sneaking over & I worry he'll find out.I cringe every time I see her coming but she needs hugs & kindness!

A friend gave me a cutting of a jade plant. It has grown, but now it has white "stuff" on its leaves and branches. Could this be a disease? Insect larvae? What should I do about it? The plant is growing in spite of this.

I found a great deal on some vintage 2 series Vandersteen's so I bought them, not considering the Yamaha htr 5840 was not up to the task. My question is this: can any Audio Video receiver power these properly? They're ok, if lacking bass, up to moderate volume levels. When I try for loud they clip and the whole system cuts out. I also have a Boston Acoustics cr400 powered sub and BA A-70's for the rear. I use it for movies and music and don't really care how the movies sound. The room (12x15) is just off the kitchen so there are 3 walls and I have to be back against the wall, which does make it hard to hear the surround speakers. I suspect that, on my budget, I should get smaller speakers and an Onkyo or used Denon but I'd appreciate feedback. My budget is $500.

I want to talk to my friend who has just taken admission there.. he has shifted to NY last week and since then we havent talked and now i HAVE to call him at any situation.. Yea yea i know you guys missed me , ive been laughing my @ss off watching, the atheists and christians go at it.But you know i got to thinking about this.it is really sad that the only thing people seem to agree on is that they hate one anothers belifes.or lack there of.anyways if all you people would stop arguing for a minute,and try to come to an understanding.Maybe youd find out we arent all so diffrent.My question is this,has desperation or righousness lead you to argue?
