Everywhere has suffered through floods, fires and high winds. In Britain, prolonged heavy rains brought floods not seen on the size and scale for 60 years in the country. Most of Mediterranean Europe and eastern Europe is suffering from heatwaves resulting in huge forest fires; most notably in Greece where 56 have been confirmed dead with the death toll rising still.
In Asia, monsoon rains have caused 300 deaths in North Korea alone. Bangladesh has suffered as has pretty much most of Asia. Tropical storm Erin has caused fatalities and injuries as well as substantial damage in Texas and mid-USA. Hurricane Dean, a category 5 hurricane, has caused devastation in Jamaica, Belize and Mexico.
It hasn't been a good year but weather is always bad at times.

Its all relative. You also have to consider the role of the media in all this. Back in the day media was a very local thing. Now its world wide and we hear about every last big or small disaster. So things aren't really get that much worse (even though the climate is changing) we just hear about a lot more of it through the various media channels.
And you certainly couldn't say with any certainty that this was the worst weather year in the world because there are 4.55 billion years of weather and climate to consider. And all we can really do it look at climate when you go far back, not weather.
Things just tend to look worse now because there are a lot of people and a lot of cities and a lot of property that gets damaged now.

It sure has been a bad years in my area. I live in the hottest part of Canada - it's called the Canadian desert, we even have tumbleweed. Anyway, it was a cool spring - usually up there in the 80's but was around 65 or 70. July was only hot (90's) after the 2nd week and August is the PITS. Only about 3 HOT days in the 80's and 90's, the rest rain and cloud. So WHERE is the good weather? Sure not in the tropics or Carribean. Perhaps we should all head to RUSSIA - it may be better there.

What, are you 9? This doesn't even come close. It's not even the worst in my lifetime (37), which, history-of-the-world speaking, is barely a blip on the timeline. I'm thinking the year after the big asteroid impact that killed the dinosaurs, 60-some million years ago, was a pretty bad weather year.

Pittsburgh. Cools down quickly after fall. for as long because it takes to heat up. Wich must be around could. continues to be cloudy and dark a million/2 the time with some periouds of sparkling sky and solar. And in summer season you may get some sturdy previous classic summer season warmth with humidity. yet many of the time it continues to be cooler now. Wich is why it makes me mad whilst human beings start up bitchen approximately how warm it extremely is.right here. The previous couple summers it rained like a million/2 the time. identity certainly want to bypass to Phoenix Az. different than for the human beings in this question. I hear there climate is acceptable.
