Assuming that the person with the general knowledge doesn't spend 24/7 memorizing the facts!

From Q and A I got to read on YA, I realize that many people are unaware of all the suffering, efforts and sacrifices that went into building nations that more or less respect the integrity of their citizens. Women have fought and died to earn the right to be assertive. African americans have fought discrimination. Gay people have managed to get their ways of life, if not respected, at least tolerated.
All around the world, discrimination has been and is still fought bitterly, at the price of human lives.
And here, I see hate, I see bigotry, and I see the capitulation of basic rights that have actually cost human lives. Some of them have to do with religion.
As an atheist, what I fight is not other people: what I fight is the relic of a reverence that has lost its perspective, that has become arbitrary a long time ago, and that under the charisma of forceful leaders can become a new ocean of hate.
Would you please think for yourself?
I don´t ask you to follow me, just to be skeptical.

I am over 50 and have had a 'lazy eye' all my life.I have had 3 perations to straighten it,at 3 years,16 and 20.
After my last operation the surgeon told me that operations don't fix the problem .I don't remember ever having binocular vision.
My eye remained reasonably straight in appearance until after i turned 40 and began doing work that involved a lot of
looking at text for up to 3 hours daily in total.
Gradually my weaker eye began to turn out and now the difference in my eyes is quite obvoius.
I am self conscious about it,don't like looking at new people when i speak to them and don't like having my photo taken.
I am working on a visual therapy programme at the moment with my optometrist.
I have just started working with a Eyeport.
If anyone has experienced improvement without an operation I would love to know your experience.
I know children can be helped but what about an older person like myself?

I was reading my history book and i just started tinking about how everything i believe to be concrete and true is really just what someone else came up with. how does anyone know what the truth is, if all the truths come from emotional people? What are things that you really believe to be absolutely the truth?

I'm a tall attractive gal with a postgraduate degree, reasonably good job and a wide range of interests. Make friends easily. I'm told that I'm friendly, warm, easy to get along with & a good catch.

I've had 2 relationships which have gone terribly wrong. Now my marriage has barely lasted a year.

Doesn't help to see my friends & cousins happily settled with young kids - something I've always wanted.

It's really taking a toll on my self-esteem. What can I do to improve this aspect of my life? (besides seeing a counsellor)

I have been doing a lot of research and I do believe the raw food diet is the healthiest diet. I have decided to just stick with the raw food diet. I mean, I still want to do a lot of juicing, but not exclusively. I want to include whole raw fruits and vegetables in my diet as well. I think this diet is the original diet of humans before we became corrupt and started eating the corpses of other beings (gross!).
