My house was assessed in the spring, and my property taxes went up $200 more a year, again! This last hike makes my taxes almost double what they were when we bought the house less than 5 years ago.

Do I need to bring any papers with me? Will they have records of my taxes there? What do I say to them? I don't want to look like a huge ignorant idiot in the Assessor's Office.

I have an 8 port 10 M ethernet hub that shares files with my
machine on XP
IS it possible to also share a dial up connection or do I need a router for this ?

If it is possible. ..is it much more complicated than DSL or something...

I am young and have saved money. I could go anywhere I want to. I would honestly love to go to Europe and probably live there. I like how its artsy and its okay and that people are more in tune with music and fashion. How hard would it be to go not knowing anyone? Are people generally friendly?

A guy who was originally my friend, has been hanging around a lot here and is a good friend to us. We are pretty close, but his opinion of women is VERY low. He had a bad mother, sister and wife, and so he views women as garbage scum and has nothing good to say about them. Tonight he calls and wants to take my husband to dinner, which is fine...guys need guy time, but my husband is severely physically disabled and has emotional disability as well (shot in head at close range 24 years ago), and so I asked where they were going and the friend would not tell me, so I gave him a ring on the cell phone and explained that we don't keep secrets from each other in our marriage and that I'd appreciate the name of the restaraunt in the future so that if an emergency occurs here or if I need to reach my husband, I can do so, and he got angry with me for asking. He does not understand that I have my reasons.

I know they are not going to strip clubs and this is not a jealousy issue.

I saw these products called Fanci-full rinses and they look really
interesting...do they dye your hair or do you have to try lot of rinses to get to the the certain color? did they work for you?
also r they temporary? i know their used for covering grays but i think i want a bottle..

I got a goldfish for my birthday about 4 days ago. First couple days he was fine and swimming around and happy. Then today I noticed he was gasping at the surface of the water. I figured there wasn't enough oxygen in the water so I changed it out. (the water it came with and the water I put in came from two different sources). For a while the fix kinda floated around and I figured it was about dead but then it snapped out of it and swam around all happy again. Few hours later it started swimming really close to the rocks and eventually just died. Any idea why? It was in a little bowl with just rocks and tap water by the way, baby fish, dont know where the original water came from.

I know that they're very popular right now...but truly, unless it was my sister or extremely close cousin, I probably wouldn't go. It seems like you're asking so much of your guests for a local wedding, but then include airfaire, hotel, time off from work, and possible babysitter for multiple days...

Anyone else agree? Does it REALLY save you THAT much money? What are your thoughts on the destination weddings?

we shall call the guy i like stranger (my nick name for him) so everyday i ask him for hugs and sometimes he gives them to me well lately hes been givin me lots i think i had like 5 or so yesterday and just like the other day (i see him every week day) he was all like one hug per day (he gave me two that day and three today) he teases me all the time (playfully like poking and junk) and sometimes he gives me compliments everynow and then he stands really close when we talk
i have no clue if he has a girlfriend but the question is..

Just forget about him (so hard to do that)
Tell him i like him (even harder)
Wait for him to like me (if he don't already-but i mean wait for him to tell me he likes me-)
OR
just go for it like ask him to go to homecoming with me or ask him to be my boyfriend or just anything like that (if you suggest this please also suggest how where and when)

Wisdom tooth was pulled yesterday morning (broke drilled yanked and stitched). Gum is still bleeding but not as much as it was when I woke up. Went back to surgeon, person was in a rush I guess and didn't see any active bleeding. Gauze was saturated with blood and now if I leave gauze in for 5 minutes about this much is left on it ( @@@@ ). What do I do about this? Also, since I was stitched up should I worry about dry socket? Thanks!

I had my dvd drive replaced and now it and my cd rom drive won't work. When I shut down the computer they both show up on the device manager, but if I try to use either one they disappear from the list and won't work. I'm running Windows XP on a HP computer.
