Me and my chihuahua go to the vet tommorrow to get her vaccinated for her tags.
I dread it because everytime we get her vaccinated she shakes and gets sickly and cannot stand on her legs.
What is causing this? Do all chihuhua dogs do this? She is 8 yrs old and I keep worrying she is going to die if we do it to her again. Is there some way to prevent it? Whats the deal with my dog? I told our 81 yr old vet, but he dont seem to worried.

I've had it for several years, since a child but it got progressively worse over the years though I did get help from cognitive-behavioral therapy (cbt) and taking the ssri (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) prozac. Was wondering if anyone else can relate and btw, Tyra Banks has on guests with ocd on her program today.

I don't want to sound arrogant or judgemental, but this is the physics section, right? Not "fantasy", or "paranormal", or "homework hotline", right? Perhaps there should be a homework help section (if there isn't already), and I know there is an "Alternative" section under Science and Mathematics. Wouldn't questions about photon torpedos and ghosts be more appropriate in that section? Just curious if anyone else who posts here feels this way. I like to come and view posts in the hopes of learning something - not finding out what kind of fabric Captain Kirk's underwear was made of...

I ask this because science at least allows for the fact that it could be wrong, and encourages people to test its theories constantly.

Whereas in religion, "my way is right" is the thinking of almost any follower. There is no leeway in religion to allow for anything other than what has been indoctrined for centuries.

If religions were more open-minded about the fact that they could be wrong, would people like the religious followers more?

Why would any god inspire a book, which is so easily mistranslated, etc....
Part of the reason there are so many different sects and denominations is simple difference in opinion about how to interpret particular parts of holy books.
Why would any god do that?
It makes much more sense that god would simply have a one on one communion with each individual, distilling the same knowledge in each.

For example, I heard one story about a mother who sang a certain lullaby when her baby was in the womb. After birth whenever the baby cried or began to get anxious the mother sang the lullaby and the baby instantly calmed.

My husband has a bad habit of bringing up is ex-wife and momma in conversations.
He'll say something like; "my ex-wife knows "what ever it may be" about me....my momma knows this about me and you know this about me". It pisses me off to hear "my-ex and my momma". I understand he's trying to make a point but I hate it. Should I let it ride or should I tell'em how I really feel..."who gives a f*** about them and what they know about you"...that's what I really want to say when he does that.
