metro is more than being concerned with your looks... it's truly having that homosexual look while still being straight. And as far as the in touch part... there has been such a push in the last 20 years for this that you can't really consider it much of a criteria.... it's pretty common place in many men.

Edit: Transexual, transgendered, homosexual, heterosexual.. ... these are gender specific terms that implicate sociological differences in people. Metrosexual is just a pop culture term that is used to define a look.

it is possible that with time it may come to represent new gender termonology... but not yet.

hey this is what people have been talking about. Acting sissy, going to beauty salon, following the trends are not being a gay, okay. Being a gay is like, you have a crush (or more) who is the same gender as you. I'm not a gay neither a homophobic but I just hate it when people always say like "hey you're gay" while they aren't definitely know what the meaning of that word! So for your situation, that's totally obvious that you're a metrosexual, like a fashion-conscious. Nothing's wrong with it. Many girls like that type of guy. :D

Metrosexual is a word describing men who have a strong concern for their aesthetic appearance, and spend a substantial amount of time and money on their images and lifestyles.
Debate surrounds the term's use as a theoretical signifier of gender deconstruction and its associations with consumerism. Current gender scholars view metrosexuality as representative of the embracing of relational understanding in addition to its lifestyle and aesthetic implications.

This is how Wikipedia defines metrosexual.
So the answer, it seems, is yes.

Hmmm it sounds like it to me. If you are still very into women than yes, you are a metrosexual. There's nothing wrong with a bloke that is clean-cut and sensitve. Cheers!
