"I don't like SOME Christians because they have used their religion to justify slavery, sexism, homophobia, and censorship. I like the vast majority of modern Christians"
What the heck? Those "Christians" are obviously not following Christ for the right reasons. I wouldnt name them as Christians.
I am a Christian. I believe Jesus is God, and I know this because there is so much proof there is a God. When you read the Bible there is so many things that prove a God exists.
The Holy Bible is criticized but the critics obviously arent Christians and dont know the great things about it.
There is no excuse to not believe in Jesus Christ.

I believe Jesus is God, and I know this because He lives in my heart , and He told me so!
xfirestorm is right , there is no reason not to believe in Jesus Christ. Good job xfirestorm you get a thumb up
To the yahoo retard: You should be ashamed of yourself for such filthy talk. You have named yourself well . Not only do you get a thumb down, but you will have to answer for those unkind words to the King of kings and Lord of lords unless you repent and come to Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 12:36 .... But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Repent retard , repent , come to Christ.

I'm atheist, but I can't answer that question in the way you asked it. I don't dislike Christians. I just dislike the way some Christians behave. I don't like having my life controlled by someone else's beliefs. I don't like that people think that I deserve to be tortured for all of eternity, not because I've DONE anything that's worse than anything THEY'VE ever done, but simply because I don't believe the same things that they do. I don't like that there are laws that we're all forced to live by that are only based on someone ELSE's religious beliefs. I don't like that loving couples can't get married because of someone else's religious beliefs. I could go on and on about this.
And I don't believe that Jesus is God, because the idea is not believable to me. I don't believe that there IS a God because the idea is not believable to me. It isn't because anyone told me anything. I came to the conclusion completely on my own.

It not that I don't like Christians, I have friends who are and most of my family is. What I don't like is that the christian morality has influenced our laws in many ways (granted sometimes for the good).
I don't believe that Jesus is god, because there is no proof for any god. The Jesus that the bible recorded may or may not have existed, but either way he is not a non existent god.

I am a deist.
I don't like SOME Christians because they are closed minded homophobes.
I know Jesus is not God because Paul applied the story of Mthra to the life of a Rabbi named Yeshua ben Yoseph. The Council of Nicea created a Christ.

I don't believe Jesus is God because he did not fulfill Messianic prophecies. He was a nice guy with some nice messages, and then Paul and the Roman Empire turned him into a Trinity God.

God is a made up being that is used to justify all sort of acts of intolerance and abominable behaviour. The old testament god was the first one record to commit a successful act of genocide (read Joshua) - an act of such supreme wickedness even Hitler did not succeed in it.

I don't have a problem with all Christians. I have a problem with fundamentalists and dominionists and pretty much anyone who thinks their faith is entitled to be siphoned into secular law.
I don't believe in gods because the concept is logically impossible.
