You can go until you piss someone off. Once you hit that point, you will be reported.

Try and be thoughtful of the fact that children are allowed to use the site and use language people would not find offensive. A good way to deal with very explicit questions is build a friend base and ask individuals rather than posting a question for everyone.

It doesn't really matter. The only thing that matters is if someone reports you or not. If you get reported by someone, odds are Y! is going to follow through with it whether there is a valid complaint or not. I've posted stuff that's violated the guidelines before and not gotten a violation, while on the other hand I've posted stuff that did not violate the ToU or CG and received violation notices for those posts.

You can be fairly explicit, it helps if put a "disclaimer" on a question though, so all those who are some how offended don't have much of a leg to stand on.

Go through the terms of service. Generally if it is a legitimate question and delicately phrased, it'll pass. But as someone pointed out, remember that children do read these boards.

Very. Read this message I got a few minutes ago from someone. It is extremely rude and I am very angry:
You have received a message from another user!
From: North Dakotan
Subject: Extermination of Bisexuals
Message: There is a thing in this country called free speech. Perhaps you've heard of it, or judging from the name you use, you're not American. Go back to the country you came from, you ****** ****.
This is uncalled for. I am in the process of writing a letter to Yahoo! to take action against this user (although it won't happen).

If you use technical terms, you can get away with more.
