I have always wondered this. But are they luckier because they rely on faith instead of reason to get through life, and sometimes this can allow one to get past things that their reasoning might tell them otherwise?

ok heres what happened:
my two friends (both girls) invited me to the movies, only because they needed a ride, and one of them just got a new bf and she cant go to the movies alone. so i said ok fine ill go...only because i didnt really hang out with them at all yet this summer. i have a bf too, but he gets jelious kinda easy...and like i knew if i went to the movies with them he would probably want to come...so i invited him, (they said it was ok if he came) plus we have been going out for almost a year. well the bad part is that my two friends that went and my bf dont really get along that well. I am way to much of a people pleaser and i always have to make everyone happy so i told him we could meet them there then go to a different movie....and them come find them at the end of the movies.....
so at the end of the movie we looked for them....but we couldnt find them.....so we left and then i get a really mean couple of txts from them saying like where were you guys! and that were

The text book I have doesn't clearly explain how the formula can be calculated. Example, if there is a population of 6 and a sample of 3, the answer is 20. Can someone please help explain to me how 20 was derived? Thanks.

Two weeks old and battery keeps going dead after 2 days of none use. Used car for one 3000 mile trip and it was fine because being used every day. Replaced battery at my expense because dealer said it was dead. Not true as battery held charge as long as outside of vehicle. Car has a constant drain from battery when checking at battery terminal. Anyone know of fix? Appartently Saturn dealer does not. Thanks

I am 14 years old and my boyfriend (4months) proposed to me on my birthday (august 11). He is sixteen and going into grade eleven. I am 14 and going into grade nine. my boyfriend who left me for this 12 years younger trailer/trash honestly i have seen her, dusky looking skin, 5'2 slim, ponytail the worst old car i have ever seen. But love is beautiful so he must be in love.
however, and that's where i am confused he keeps calling me telling me he loves me and misses me and soon he will be back with me ! All so weired and i am concidering all of this maybe even taking him back sick !
i haven't seen him since 4 weeks and he doesn't want to see me apparently. I still miss him we were together for 6 years.

Confirmed that I won't reach the age of 60. Want to free up as much $$ as possible so I can live NOW! I own my home ($20K equity). The $20K debt on credit cards is at the limit of my budget - but the rates are low (< 4%). If I cash in my 401K, this will free up my income and I will be on a cash-only basis - no more credit cards! The only upcoming major expense is a car payment that I will need to do in 1-2 years. I will still keep a $401K, but I will start at $0 again - my company has a good "matching" program. If I cash in my $44K 401K, that will give me the $20K to pay off these bills now - or I can leave it to grow and for my kids to use it to pay off my debts after I'm dead...Should I cash it in NOW?

I have two very large and hardy plants. Those extra root things catch dead leaves and debris and make the plant bottoms look snakey and ugly. I see similar plants in other peoples' yards and I don't know if theirs are just a variety that doesn't make those, or if they've removed them. I have removed some of them with no obvious detrimental effects, but I'm afraid to just scalp them like I'd like to.

I just made a bid on a Vito Clarinet I may not win the bid, and I found on craigs list a selmer for 130.00 used and the people have slips to prove its been worked on etc. my trouble is the selmer one they now are not repsonding to email to come see and while waiting made bid on ebay for a vito. I do not want some cheap knock off that Ken stanton and those will not touch to fix if there is a problem........for ex a clarinet new for 199.00 and below may be a cheap brand more like a toy ex J. Edwards. I know when I get my clarinet I can get reeds off net cheaper poss even get a better mouth piece later too. some help here single mom who CANNOT AFFORD afford big stuff

While I will not express my exact viewpoint on the subject, I was wondering:

The big bang occurs (evolutionists are cheering everywhere) and the universe is created. In the process, an all mighty being is created as well (if something can come from nothing, why not an almighty being). Evolution occurs (stop cheering, you are distracting people from reading the question). Dinosaurs are roaming the earth, etc..

A natural disaster occurs, a meteor strikes, a thick cloud of dust rises from the ground and blackens out the sun. Every living being, plant, etc. dies. (Awww) Maybe some fish survive? (Yeah)

Welcome to the ice age.

Suddenly the almighty being steps in (cheers finally from the Intelligent Design side of the room), clears away the dust, allows the earth to thaw, light re-emerges to the planet after thousands of years. (2001: Space Odessy theme plays).

God creates man (I.D., no mocking the evolutionists). Adam and Eve emerge, and life continues.

As near as I can tell, all of the top republican canditdates are fairly close to the worn out, incompetent and pie in the sky politics of the Bush Junta. Do most real republicans really want to continue the BushWar for Oil in Iraq, continue to enrich the health insurance industry by not insuring 43 or however many millions Americans, continue attempts to gut Social Security and degrade environmental regulations in favor of industry? Please forgive me but I am a big novice at this. I am trying to write some VBscript that will ask a series of questions to generate a csv file. I have got as far as being able to write one line to the CSV file but am having problems making it loop until the user wants to quit the program.
