i have felt envy and i 100% regret it. I have this friend and she is very important to me. we have alot in common. we both play flute and are in advanced classes. she is better at flute, sings beautifully, and she is smarter than me in some classes. she also has a boyfriend. at first i was happy for her, then i became a little jealous, then it turned to envy. i felt like she had everything going for her. she would always be better than me and i hated that. it was like a competition and i was losing. eventually, i realized that she didnt even think about that. she likes me for me. there was no competition between us at all. i cant believe i felt that. now we are the best of friends and we dont compete; we work together. we want to succeed together. envy is a horrible thing.

I suppose I did as a child, and in my first marriage I admired my neighbor's marriage, when they were 50 I saw them at the park holding hands. In my marriage closeness, intimacy was not a factor, neither of us had it in childhood. We do hold hands when we are walking a long distance thru the WalMart parking lot. But, I don't envy, I may not have what I want in life, but no one else does either.

i wish i'd asked that question
but doesn't everyone
after all we are only human
i think it is a regretful act but telling your self not to be envious and doing it are different sides of the coin
i think envy is one of those emotions we never have full control over
so theres no point its like regreting letting the wind blow

Generally envy is about lovers. When there are some problems in the relationships between couple, one or the both can feel envy.

envy is a behaviour most people experience from time to time and its usually over something you know that you will never have.
It most occasions, I do feel guilty for having such thought, as it makes me think that people who kill start by being envious of something that someone else possesses, then the green eyed monster ends up going as far as removing that person who is in the way of that something the want.

I see the seven deadly sins as crimes of intelligence.
We all feel envy and we are all human, well maybe not Posh Spice. It makes me feel bad for feeling it but then it makes me feel better to know i recognized it. We all learn from mistakes and we all keep makeing mistakes. So we all keep learning

Yeah and it was pretty stupid because it was over things that I could never have and when I was younger.
