I have berber and it's miserable, traffic stains every week. My dachshund is also a digger and has easily dug 2 holes in different areas. Although when the dogs shed you can barely see it in the carpet.

I also have a rug in the living room that attracts dog hair and is almost possible to clean up.

What is the best type to buy next time? Something thick? What color disguises traffic dirt and dog hair?

Mistake in the War On Terrorism

Michael Sullivan wrote:

President Bush did make a bad mistake in the war on terrorism. But the mistake was not his decision to go to war in Iraq. Bush's mistake came in his belief that this country is the same one his father fought for in WWII. It is not. Back then, they had just come out of a vicious depression. The country was steeled by the hardship of that depression, but they still believed fervently in this country. They knew that the people had elected their leaders, so it was the people's duty to back those leaders. Therefore, when the war broke out the people came together, rallied behind, and stuck with their leaders, whether they had voted for them or not or whether the war was going badly or not. And war was just as distasteful and the anguish just as great then as it is today. Often there were more casualties in one day in WWII than we have had in the entire Iraq war. But that did not matter. The people stuck with the President because it was their patriotic duty. Americans put aside their differences in WWII and worked together to win that war. Everyone from every strata of society, from young to old pitched in. Small children pulled little wagons around to gather scrap metal for the war effort. Grade school students saved their pennies to buy stamps for war bonds to help the effort. Men who were too old or medically 4F lied about their age or condition trying their best to join the military. Women doubled their work to keep things going at home. Harsh rationing of everything from gasoline to soap, to butter was imposed, yet there was very little complaining. You never heard prominent people on the radio belittling the President. Interestingly enough in those days there were no fat cat actors and entertainers who ran off to visit and fawn over dictators of hostile countries and complain to them about our President. Instead, they made upbeat films and entertained our troops to help the troops' morale. And a bunch even enlisted. And imagine this: Teachers in schools actually started the day off with a pledge of allegiance and with prayers for our country and our troops! Back then, no newspaper would have dared point out certain weak spots in our cities where bombs could be set off to cause the maximum damage. No newspaper would have dared complain about what we were doing to catch spies. A newspaper would have been laughed out of existence if it had complained that German or Japanese soldiers were being "tortured" by being forced to wear women's underwear, or subjected to interrogation by a woman, or being scared by a dog or did not have air conditioning. There were a lot of things different back then. We were not subjected to a constant bombardment of pornography, perversion and promiscuity in movies or on radio. We did not have legions of crackheads, dope pushers and armed gangs roaming our streets. No, President Bush did not make a mistake in his handling of terrorism. He made the mistake of believing that we still had the courage and fortitude of our fathers. He believed that this was still the country that our fathers fought so dearly to preserve. It is not the same country. It is now a cross between Sodom and Gomorrah and the Land of Oz. We even have the wicked witch of the west as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives. We did unite for a short while after 911, but our attitude changed when we found out that defending our country would require some sacrifices. We are in great danger. The terrorist are fanatic Muslims. They believe that it is okay, even their duty, to kill anyone who will not convert to Islam. It has been estimated that about one third or over three hundred million Muslims are sympathetic to the terrorists cause...

Hitler and Tojo combined did not have nearly that many potential recruits.

We either win it - or lose it - and you ain't gonna like losing.

So YOU better think about THAT!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking of going to Istanbul on vacation. Should I be worried about the anti-American sentiment there, or is it not as big of a deal as people talk it up to be?

Christians like to brush off the horrible things found in the OT by saying that Christians live by the NT. Well put that aside and solely focus on what kind of God you're worshipping! The God of the OT and the NT is still the same God! In the OT God murdered, approved slavery, was a sexist, and etc...how do you justify those horrible things God did back then? To kill a first born child who God Himself put in a woman's womb is purely sadistic! Innocent children were murdered by your loving God! Women were oppressed; they had to be silent in church! Were women more sinful than men? God approved of masters beating their slaves!

My 99 accord has been smoking bluish white smoke out of the exhaust only at high RPMS- 5000 and up, but NOT at lower RPMS. Obviously I rarely go that high, but I've feared the worst. I've checked the coolant, its green without contamination. today a mechanic discovered that someone installed the wrong pcv valve on the car- the one that belongs on the v6 model, and that it is somehow larger. the mechanic suggested it was possible that this was the cause of the smoke- the oil was getting into the intake manfold, and into the cat, and that when the engine is at higher rpms, and the gases/ heat increase, it burns up the oil in the manifold/cat. He said IF that is the cause it should clear up in a week or so. Does this sound to good to be true? or is it possible? the car does have 160,000 on it, but i've owned several hondas with much more mileage that didn't smoke at all.

I have had the other two platies for about two weeks, at most. I noticed the baby as I was cleaning the gravel for the first time. The vaccuum was sucking up A LOT of this whitish mucousy looking substance, but wrote it off as fish feces and food debris. Then I saw the baby....looks just like the red platy. It had black dorsel and tail fins and was orange in color. Teeny tiny. I stopped cleaning, turned the light off, and I haven't seen it or any new babies since. I've read that platies are live bearers, so why is there only one? And when should I see more of it or any others? I also noticed it swimming into the gravel...will it survive underneath all of the rocks? Any advice?

I have foodstall for foreign workers at a dormitory. The workers read little English or none at all. The problem is that they have a habit of leaving the disposable plates and cups on the tables after eating. There is coffee, tea, curry gravy all over the tables. At the canteen there are posters 'Keep Clean and Clean your tables after eating'
Either they don't read or just lazy is not an excuse. There must be a way to make them aware of keeping the environment clean. I have placed stickers 'Please clear the tables after eating' on the tables but they still do the same things.
I would like to have some good pictures that I can print. Words seem to have no effect.

Christians claim the Divine Trinity and the Holy Bible. Islam, Allah and the Qu'ran. The Rastafari have Holy Piby. The 23 million Sikhs read the Adi Granth. Hindus, the 4 Vedas. And the large remainder of this multitude of religions is based on different scriptures.

Many of these scriptures are mutually incompatible. The bible clearly states non-believers of Jesus Christ are already condemned; that these will burn in hell for all eternity. Islam's Quran makes strikingly similar assumptions for non-believers of Allah.

Additionally, the lessons included in each of these different scriptures differ, sometimes barely and sometimes not The Vedas teach Hindus things the Bible doesn't teach Christians.

The Qu'ran and the Bible, and the Vedas and the Holy Piby, and all remainder - they can't all be right. Despite claims of faith, choice of religion is strongly biased by local culture.
And the question is: What method, if any, do we have available to separate the wheat from the chaff?
