people who have never nursed have no idea how hard and tiring it really is. First let me say, you already deserve a pat on the back for doing it.
All the other answers are really good, soap, perfume, foods you eat all can cause this. Coffee and things that tend to be bitter can make your baby not like your milk. Think of all you eat through out the day...
Is your baby gaining enough weight?I suspect so or you would have called the DR instead of ask questions hear.
When I was born I was what my Mom called tongue tied,
the tissue that connects the tongue to the bottom of my mouth was too large and I couldn't suck properly. This was easlily remedied at the Dr's office. Sorry I don't know the medical lingo for this. Take a look at baby's mouth.
I hope you sooo much success, hang in there.
But in the end if you can't nurse for whatever reason, your not a failure. You tried and a good Mom knows when to move on.
Best Wishes

My son was doing this at the same age. I thought he was just fussy but turns out he had reflux. Take him to the dr. and he can asses him. It is not as common in breastfed babies but my baby had it and he is still 100% breastfed. If he arches his back and is fussy during most of the feeding its usually a sign. Do some research online. Good luck. My son had to take zantac for about 5 months. Now he is 8 months and its gone. :)

everybody here had some good answers for you i agree with a lot of them. It could be thrush or even blisters(sores) in the mouth. It could as be whatever it is that you have been eating or your mood. I know it can be frustrating because your child is so fussy during nursing but your mood during the time your nursing him can make him fussy.

I know what you mean. My son did the same thing. You need to be consistant and stick with it. If you start feeling like you just can't do it anymore but really want seek help. Your hospital or a Le Lache League can help. If something happens though that you do decide to give it up don't take it out on yourself. I did and for about two after giving it up went into a depression and that is not fun. It is not your fault nor your baby's it is just not going to work. But I do feel stick with it and try help first. That is what I did and just had to throw in the towel. Good luck. I know it is hard.

it is so stressful to declare. My youngest became purely as depressing the 1st 3 months of existence, then he did get greater effective as he have been given older. i could no longer decide why he cried plenty, yet i concept colic. you're able to desire to objective here to work out if it is going to help the baby stay calm: a mechanical swing, rock infant interior the chair, put in a infant sack that holds them close to to you, put in infant seat and place in crib and turn on infant's cellular, deliver the baby to the window to look out some circumstances an afternoon, placed infant on blanket on floor with a team of colourful toys to envision. i be conscious of it relatively is extremely stressful to shelter a fussy infant, inspite of the shown fact that it gets greater effective. permit your pediatrician be conscious of if it gets too plenty. in case you may, attempt to get somebody that can assist you you or provide you a pair of hours for a harm so which you are not getting exhausted dealing with each and all the fussiness, it could placed on you down. sturdy luck :)

Is the baby vomiting? Could be piloricstanosis although that generally happens in the first male child born to a couple if its going to happen. But its not limited to boys.

Have you tried the chiropractor?
Also, be aware of your own mood - if you are upset or apprehensive, the baby will be able to feel it and it may be upsetting her. Easier said than done, I know. Try deep breathing and soothing talk. Once she gets more organized and settles in it should get better.

I would talk to the doctor. Is this new? She was nursing okay before? Could be thrush, maybe?
Mine was like that when she had an ear infection.

if you are using a scented soap if may make her fussy, or it could be something you are eating that isn't agreeing with her.
