Christians claim the Divine Trinity and the Holy Bible. Islam, Allah and the Qu'ran. The Rastafari have Holy Piby. The 23 million Sikhs read the Adi Granth. Hindus, the 4 Vedas. And the large remainder of this multitude of religions is based on different scriptures.

Many of these scriptures are mutually incompatible. The bible clearly states non-believers of Jesus Christ are already condemned; that these will burn in hell for all eternity. Islam's Quran makes strikingly similar assumptions for non-believers of Allah.

Additionally, the lessons included in each of these different scriptures differ, sometimes barely and sometimes not The Vedas teach Hindus things the Bible doesn't teach Christians.

The Qu'ran and the Bible, and the Vedas and the Holy Piby, and all remainder - they can't all be right. Despite claims of faith, choice of religion is strongly biased by local culture.
And the question is: What method, if any, do we have available to separate the wheat from the chaff?

We can do like Elijah did (1Kings 18:20-39) & build an altar and give a offering unto the Lord,( Elijah made it more interesting by pouring water all around his altar) & have the others build an altar to their gods, call out to heaven & see which God sends fire down from heaven to consume the offering on the altar.
Christ disciples are recognized by their love for one another, and their love for their enemies. " By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" John 13:35
I say let's call down fire from heaven, but my strongest vote goes to Jesus who layed down His life, out of love, for the ransom of many. And after 3 days arose from the dead & ascended into heaven to sit on the right hand of the Father. And will return through the clouds. Which religion compares to such a great love for the world? Who can boast over a risen Saviour who is coming again?

I had the same problem so I solved the problem by disowning all religions and accepting God alone. Yes I believe in God (Supreme being) alone. Religion is for money, greed, and power. Religious things always ask for money and to donate generously, they are power hungry because the highest number of followers will rule and because of that all the wars have been due to religion and finally all the priests and them are greedy for money and power. So religion is just a Company that promises to sell God and rip you out of money so I just pray directly to him in my mind and talk to him openly.

your problem is you're trying to find an all encompassing truth by giving lip service to all the great religions. Finding the truth that way does not work.

The truth cannot be mutually compatible..it is exclusive b/c everything else by definition must be non-truth. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life"...Christians are happy camper b/c they've found the real truth. Check it our for yourself if you don't believe me.

Daniel Quinn did an excellent job in his trilogy (of sorts)
Ishmael
My Ishmael
The Story of B

Which in a fiction helps sort through the many different directions and gives the history of many religions.

I believe that none of the gods invented by man are true, if there is a god at all.
