I have foodstall for foreign workers at a dormitory. The workers read little English or none at all. The problem is that they have a habit of leaving the disposable plates and cups on the tables after eating. There is coffee, tea, curry gravy all over the tables. At the canteen there are posters 'Keep Clean and Clean your tables after eating'
Either they don't read or just lazy is not an excuse. There must be a way to make them aware of keeping the environment clean. I have placed stickers 'Please clear the tables after eating' on the tables but they still do the same things.
I would like to have some good pictures that I can print. Words seem to have no effect.

Try placing this sign on the tables and keep several waste bins in plain view:

Here's one I put together for you:

How about you gather up some fellow students and take a short series of pictures - one of people eating, the next of people picking up and carrying off their dishes, next showing that stuff dumped in the trash can, and a final picture of someone with a cloth and spray cleaning up the tables.

Make a poster of those in a series - make them large pictures - and post them around the room. that should help a great deal.

laminate them too - that way they will last longer.

EDIT - Anthony's picture might work as well - but they might assume someone else is supposed to do it still.

Maybe it's me but I thought throwing away your disposable plates with food or whatever is on them is standard practice whatever country you are in.

They should know that since they are in a dormitory they should be cleaning up after themselves.

If you think it is just blatant disregard of the rules you should report it.
Some people are just slobs and don't care.

Let's work on educating them on the subject of clear English prose, first.

Find out what language they speak then do another sign in that language.
