First off, I am not ordained. If I was just anybody, I could get a random ordainment from a group that doesn't care but I will not do such a thing. I graduated with a bachelors in Pastoral Ministry and am working on my MAR in Church Ministries. I consider ordainment too important a thing to just get from some group of people who just give them away. I also want to be ordained by the church I eventually am working for. The thing is, I have two friends that want me to marry them, i.e. perform the ceremony. Is there anyway, I can still marry them without getting ordained? If it helps, they are getting married in Florida.

survivor china premiers September 20, and to me this is looking like it could be a really, really good season, possibly good enough to help the show regain some viewers and get better ratings. What do you think? and do you think Probst will sign a contract for seasons 17 and 18?

I spent the night with my ex-boyfriend because I had to be somewhere REALLY early and he lives really close to there. He made me my favorite dinner, brought up fun times we shared, and suddenly hugged me and told me it was good to see me again, it had been a long time ( it had only been a few months). He did a lot of small but special things for me, too.

He also apologized for being a jerk lately, too, when I didn't bring it up or act like anything mattered.

Do you think he wants to get back together?

Hi, I have a male kitten who is 16 weeks old and we very recently got a new female kitten who is 10 weeks old. I was a bit naive in that i thought they would hit it off immediately and unfortunately since we got the female my male has been attacking her at every given opportunity! We have now confirmed the female to our spare room and the 2 cats are only allowed to meet under our supervision, the male continually seems to be biting her round the neck and pouncing on top of her, however the female does not help herself as if he walks away she chases after him and jumps on him! am I worrying un-necessarily that he will hurt her? we can't work out if this is a game! He is more than twice the size of her as well. I know as the cat that was here first he will be asserting his authority etc but how long will this go on for?? also, neither has been neutered yet (too young still) should i be worried about them getting even more close for comfort or will that not even occur to them at this age?

Christians are constantly finding flaws in science, scientific research and scientific theories. One Christian asked earlier what new groundbreaking ideas has Richard Dawkins had of his own...or even slightly original.

This made me wonder about religion, Christianity specifically.

Since I believe that religion squashes free thought and new ideas, please tell me who in the Christian world...whose career is in religion...has something to say that adds to what you already know about your religion? Where is the evolution of ideas in your religion?

In this category in particular I find that the Q&A is often either rhetorical or tongue in cheek - both of which are humorous (in different ways) but neither particularly insightful (or insight-seeking). Furthermore there are a number of people that seem to ask questions and pick the "best answer" to be the one that follows their own beliefs. Their choice, of course.

My questions:

1. Do you ever look at a person's choices of "best answers" to infer any innate biases before/after answering a question?

2. If so, how do you distinguish between "best answers" chosen by the Y!A community at large (i.e., votes) vs those chosen by the asker. (There's probably a really easy way right under my nose but I don't know it).

A nuclear scientist aquaintance told me that, contrary to popular belief, 'THE ATOM' is a myth, theory, idea etc. which, though accepted by millions as the best explanation of matter so far and even accepted as a hard fact of life by equally as many, is nevertheless unproven. Could someone enlighten me and/or point to authoritative information/websites that will give me a clear and honest and up-to-date answer on this question. Many thanks

I have a 2002 Honda Civic that has a 12-Volt power outlet to plug in things such as my radar detector. I've used the same radar detector in my Civic for years without any problems. Recently, after using my radar detector, my fuse would burn out after using the outlet with the detector plugged in. It happens every time. I've already changed the fuse three times! And it's the correct amps too! Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Does my car have a more serious electrical problem I should know about? Any suggestions would be great.
