If the crankshaft position sensor is bad will this cause a no fire problem.

yes this is the signal sent to tell your pcm when each cylinder reaches tdc according to the posion of the crankshaft sensor the pcm calculates and sends the fuel injectors pulses.

Yes, it can. I haven't seen too many of these sensors go bad though. What I have seen go bad a lot of the time is the wiring getting fried by the way it's routed through the motor area. Make sure your wiring is good down to the sensor before replacing the sensor. Good luck.

You will get no spark and no injector pulses if the crank sensor is bad.

yes gm had recalls on this on the 4.3 vortex motors
