My girlfriend and I were invited to a party this weekend. I just found out i won't be able to go and my girlfriend might. I really don't feel comfortable at all with her going because she and her best friend will be the only two girls there and there will be about 10 other guys. One of them she used to like and three or four others don't have girlfriends. And I know her dad would flip out if he knew that she would be one of the only girls there.

Should I ask her not to go and explain that i'm uncomfortable with the whole situation? Is this alright to ask if i'm polite and tell her its up to her?

My son is 14, and he was watching The Terminator in his room. We walked in to see if he wanted to go out to Best Buy with us. My wife immediately cut the television off, and I asked what was wrong. My wife sternly insisted that he was too young to watch that. I understand that he is young, but he we let him watch any PG-13 movie (as he's 14), and ive talked about watching Rated R movies with him. He said he's watched them before, but only becuse his friends are allowed to, and he said he knows right from wrong. I understand what its like for a teen not to have any respect from adults with this matter, but he's very mature, gets good grades, knows what's real and not, but my wife wont budge. I said Ill watch the movies with him(as a guy thing), but my wife has put me on the couch about this, and believes that I should side with her, but my heart belongs to my son. I'll watch the movies with him, and Ill decide whats right and wrong, but my relationship with my wife is waning.

im only 15 and my life is going down the drain...... i have parents..that fuss and fight since i was 5! i never really hanged out with my friends unless i was at school. i couldnt go out no where becuase i was always home cleaning and babysitting. My life right now... i really cant say that i had a great childhood but i was sooo EXPOSE TO ADULT issues. [ like money issues, relationships and etc. the people i really hang out with is about 20 and up becuase my mom always felt safer with me with them. I actually think kids my age is very imature!! i feel like i have no life...i even work so much at home and at my job that i dont do teenage stuff! i take care of my sisters so much...THEY ARE STARTING TO CALL ME MOM! my uncle wedding is and my grandparents are coming and they are not going doing well and it could be a possible chance and think that they are going burn my house down with their clumsiness.......im recently thinking about the worsts.....losing the house...having no money...

Have you ever had an unsecured credit card company place a lein on your home for an unpaid balance or is this just some tactic that the collection agency is using to scare the consumer? Or have you known someone who had this experience? The balance they are quoting is substantially more that it had been a year ago.
