Here in Durham there is a grocer called Food World. . Usually my sister goes with me but yesterday my husband did. This is the most culturally diverse place that I have seen in a long time. Hispanic, Arabian, African, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. We were looking at the Italian gold, an Asian man grabbed my husband's arm and was trying to show him something. We could not understand, he drew a small audience of people. He had a scratch off lottery ticket saying that he had won $5,000. People of different cultures hugged each other, and for 10 or more minutes, it was like nobody was a stranger. My eyes caught on the white shoppers and they were standing back. A older white couple came up. As soon as others say them, they made a point to exclude them. Nobody acknowledged them. My mouth dropped, I could not believe it. I did attempt to include them in. I found out really quick that I stood alone. What do you think of this?
