I read this today. I just love his explanation.
"When I asked where his devotion to the blessed mother started, Joe said that he heard Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen say on television one evening that in a family, if you want to ask your parents for something you go first to your mother. Joe said that after he met Archbishop Sheen and they had become good friends, he told him how much that advice meant. Archbishop Sheen said that he was simply passing on what the gospel story about the wedding feast at Cana told us. The servants told Mary that they had run out of wine, she told Jesus and then told the servants to do as Jesus instructed. She knew he’d listen to her request and, Archbishop Sheen told Joe, that’s the lesson for us – talk to Mary first. "

If you want to read the entire article, it's from the National Catholic Register, and you'll find it here: http://www.catholic.org/views/views_news.php?id=24621

For those of you too young to know who Joe is, read the article.

My daughter will be 5 in October. She still wears Pull-Ups and soaks them every night. I have tried stopping liquids three hours before bedtime, only offering a little water if she is thirsty, which she usually says she isn't.
Pull Ups and Training Pants don't really fit her anymore.
Are anyone else's kids still in Pull-Ups and almost 5 years old? I feel like the only parent sometimes who still buys them for their 4 year old. of course, all of my friends children stopped wearing them to bed at 2 and my friends just look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I still use Pull Ups....

Bartoli (seeded 18) and Venus (seeded 23) play in the final.
On the mens side, just missed out for seeds 1-2-3-4....with Roddick loosing it will not be a 1-2-3-4 seed.

ALL THE TIME I read about women complaining about their husbands looking at porn. Yet these are the SAME women who think that sex for 10-15 minutes every other month should be enough to satisfy their husbands! THEN....in your answers you insist that if your husbands really want more sex from you then they should do more to help you with housework, help more with the kids, buy you flowers, buy you jewelry, take you to expensive dinners, or wisk you away on weekend vacations! All this ON TOP OF working to pay the mortgage, the bills, the groceries, school clothes, video games, I-phones, and your hair & nails! AND ALL WITH A SMILE!

Since when did a little loving from our wives become such a friggin hassle? What's wrong with an orgasm or two or three for you and one for us at the end? And since when did taking things into our own hands instead of CHEATING ON YOU become such a crime? Like we don't know you have a vibrator in your night stand!!!!

I have a 6 year old daughter and am now 19 weeks pregnant with another child. My husband is not the real father of my 6 year old (well he is her father but not biologically). I had a baby shower 6 years ago. My family wants to throw another shower. My sister in law has a huge problem with me having another. Even though she wasn't at the first one. Do I just make sure she's not invited? My husband and his parents are real excited about the baby, but his sister doesn't seem to be.

My sister is getting married at the end of this month. I have paid for airline tickets to fly there for the wedding. I have also arranged all of the flowers and paid for them.

Am I still required to buy them a wedding "gift" since I have been out so much expense already?
- as an additional note, my sister has lived with her fiancee for 7 years and they have two children together. She has not registered for gifts anywhere.

I would just like some advice on what the proper protocal would be for this.
