I installed windows 2000 upgrade over 98 on another computer, and even installed service pack 4 and cannot install ANY updates. I was prompted to install windows installer and BITS and winhttp 5.1 and they fail. I cannot install any other updates because these initial ones fail and will not take me further. Can anyone help here?

soo last march, i spent a month in hong kong for a student exchange..needless to say i instantly fell in love. my home town in ontario is very small, close to farm life but not quite (we have a tim hortons)
anyways, i hate where i live with a passion, and i really want to move to asia. im thinking about the japan area.
im working on getting a full time job here so i can go there next summer..
but is 18 too young to move to the other side of the world? and also how hard will it be for me to get a visa to live there?
home sickness is not an issue either. the only thing i strive for is getting away.
also i would not be completely alone in japan, i have a very good friend who lives there.

What's the problem when my outdoor Air Conditioning unit pipes ( small & big pipe ) have solid ice on them?
I live in a tropical country where the humidity is above 85%.
If that is a signal of Air Conditioning problem, what should I do to take care of it?

I have 6 children ages 8, 13, 16, 18, 19, & 20. They all live at home still while going to college, school and working part time.The problem is that this is summer & school is out, college girl is on break, & part time job boy starts college in the fall. My husband and I want to be romantic & just plain have sex but there are kids everywhere at all hours of the day and night. We could take a little trip, but not every time we want sex. My husband wants it 4-6 times a week & we have thin walls & nosy kids. I suppose he could stuff a sock in my mouth to keep me quiet but that would take all the fun out of it. With no school schedule to get them in bed at a decent hour they run amuk all night long. My husband claims to have blue balls constantly & is very cranky all the time. Besides offering him the bag of frozen peas I keep in the freezer for medical emergencies I just don't know what to tell him. Any suggestions? And please don't worry about me getting preg again, I had my tubes tied.

Hi. I bidding on an item and tried to cancel my bid (well before the bidding ended), the seller refused, and I was outbidded.

The seller consequently cancelled the winning bid and tried to claim that I set up another ebay account, assumingly to outbid myself. I reckon it was the seller using my details to push the bidding up and the plan fell on it's face, he even admitted looking up my address to try and pin this other ebayer on me. I reckon he did this out of spite as I asked to end the bidding.
I deleted most of these emails, as I was understandable freaked out (they were all sent through ebay, so I don't know if they have records).
Any way, I've emailed this person, saying I am not going to pay for this item and I am dealing with ebay at the moment.

My question is, that if he leaves me a unpaid strike, I have no real grounds to get it removed, how does it appear on the "My eBay" screen? I know I have to be careful with my bidding in the future

All this talk and all this web sight build up against illegal immigration. What is amazing is how many protest the illegals have yet i dont see any white people marching on the white house or in there city heck maybe there are a few, but in really small numbers. I guess what im saying is im going to turn in anybody i know to be illegal. Will you be still sitting here talking about it or are you going to take an active part in doing something thats real.

I have a job interview on Friday.
I have never been up for a interview for a job so what will they do or say?
will they tell me if I am hired during or after the interview or what?
I do have a resume, but already filled out an application. should i still take one?
I know I should dress properly and some of the basics.
the big thing that I am worried about is whe/ if they ask the question "why do you think you deserve this job"

My best friend is throwing a huge party on Saturday.
And it's mainly people I don't know too well or know at all. They're all going to be drinking.
I'm really introverted and thus this is really, really terrifying.
I'm useless at starting conversation and really shy, does anyone have any tips for ways I can cope?
P.S, my friend doesn't understand how I am having problems with this, she's not the understanding type.

since bout 10th grade (i just passed out from 12th) i do this weird thing - the photographs in my room, even the faces on magazines and all and photos n all...i feel like they r watching me...n whenevr im doing something i feel the need to turn them all away in a direction so they can't 'see' me....it used to be much worse..i remember, im 10th or 9th there was a time i felt i couldn't strt my work until i turn all the 'faces' away from me. its much better now...and had stopped complety until just yesterday,i found myself turning the mags in my room so tht the model on its cover would quit 'looking' at me...im spooked out. is this a sign of mental illness?..im 17yrs old.
shd i worry?...wht do i do? my parents wd NEVER agree for a mental check up...
actually i think this strange behaviour may hv triggered when i was in 7th or 8th grade. whenever the pictures 'look' at me i start feeling embaressed or guilty. why the hell does tht happen??
