She just doesn't want me to. . .but I want to become vegetarian for the health benefits and because I know that me not eating meat will save an animal some where. . .I might eat salmon every once in a while. . .so how can I convince my mom to let me become vegetarian??

I'm Catholic, and would prefer answers for this question from fellow Roman Catholics, Jews and Orthodox Christians.

I'm a student, and on term papers and exams (and generally, any other paper I consider important), I write out the tetragrammaton on one of the pages (similar to "JMJ" by Catholics). I don't see it as a "good luck charm," but as assurance that I'm not doing the work "unaided." Professors have never made a fuss about it, either because they haven't seen it, or don't mind.

My question is, is this inappropriate, or worse, is it in violation of God's commandment not to take God's name in vain?

If you could put Nolan Ryan as a pitching coach are a head coach. Other then the Houston Astro,s Where would you put him? On witch Team if he would take the job if he was offered one ? By us the baseball fans that love him for the great pitching that he done ? 3-4 Teams Pretty Please . And no crude rude heart less hurt full remarks made ps Iam not A kid ok. This ties in with a question I still have running...

Some neutrals banked money for countries involved in war, and even allowed them to store their treasures in their banks.

Others allowed troops across their land knowing the purpose was to get to the enemy.

Of course these countries had little defence had they refused.

Also, our troops were a given safe house in these countries, when they were escaping the enemy, and many found their way safely home because of that.

PLEASE REMEMBERI AM NOT JUDGING I am trying to understand how it all fits together.

i love my friends to death but sometimes they like to drink..
when we hang out, sometimes they go buy drinks and xpect all of us to drink too
i personally dont like the idea alot but..i dont want to be a total party pooper...so somtimes i go ahead and drink

People who are atheists LOVE to misrepresent the facts. God lets us know for certain which religion is true. It is said in the Bible God will touch you and let you know which religion is true. The spirit of God is like a fire and it burns inside each and every one of us.

If only people would put away their pride and listen to the truth. Why don't they do that? But, you know what? I'm not here for that. I'm here to spread the word that God loves each and every one of us and that we should stop being so vain and accept the sacrifice of Jesus.

If we don't accept Jesus, what right have we to get into Heaven? What if I came up to you and said, "I've done NOTHING wrong but I want to break into your house."

You wouldn't like that, right?

Of course not. Same thing with Hell. Unless you are a Christian you cannot get in.

Whenever I want to prove something I never cite partisan left-wing organizations like democraticundeground, moveon.org, etc, etc. I would not trust anything from a partison right-wing site, so it is only fair that I avoid the same tactics.

Instead I cite well estabished third party sites like:
the Census, Bureau of Economic Analyses, Treasury Department, Department of Labor, Whitehouse.org, National Academy of Science, American Meteorology Society, American Chemical Society, Geological Society of America, National Center for Atmospheric Research, American Geophysical Union, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, NASA's GISS, etc, etc.

I do all this and still I get cons talking about liberal conspiracies. They tell me all these scientific organizations either hate capitalism or are just going after the global warming money. Apparently, there's a liberal behind every organization and only right-wing pundits "tell it like it is."

Off topic they say Mommies little boy Daddies little girl; as a child growing up it took me less time to figure out why my parents where always upset and anger. It was not me or my sisters but money and the fact that they had to work both of them to raise all for of us. To the actual question; when a parent ignores your bad behaviors is it a sign of good parenting?

why is the devil always the cause of bad things in the world? i can't tell you how many times i've heard, "its the devil." i honestly believe that ''god'' is the idea people of faith prescribe to favorable circumstance, and the ''devil'' is the idea prescribed to unfavorable circumstance. nothing more, nothing less. it's almost as if its in our nature to make excuses and not accept responsibility for our actions, good or bad. do people not realize how absurd this sounds?

It was reported yesterday that Tony Blair was interviewed a 3rd time by the Police relating to cash for honours scandal. Hi our 3 month old baby seems to be drinking less and less milk. We give him mostly formula milk. Since the last 3 weeks he's been reducing his milk intake. Normally he would get through 90 - 120 ml of milk but nowadays he barely gets through 90ml even after some hours sleep. Towards the end of a feed he cries and doesnt want to drink anymore, but we feel he should be drinking more than what he is. Apart from that he seems happy enough and he seems normal. Is this anything to worry about? I would have thought his demand for milk would get bigger and bigger?
