I have been divorced now for 8 years. I have two kids with my ex. I am remarried as of 2 years now. Me and my ex are not on what you could say are the best of terms. But mostly because of her. She is very unwilling to be sociable and keeps tension between us by doing things that disrupted our relationship. For example I have asked that she not take the kids to feed them dinner on days (in Curtin circumstances) because I had dinner planes with the kids already planed. She refuses to get along in many cases. My wife now in the beginning tried very hard to become friendly with her and talk to her for the benefit of the kids. To be friends. Only to get stabbed in the back by the ex and have the ex tell the kids lies and try her best to turn them against my wife. My father and Step mom who are a big part of the kid’s life when it is convenient for them will not stop associating with my ex. It would be different if the ex and I got along. But we don’t. So this hurts my wife’s fillings a lot of times because my wife will try to be part of our family and talk to my parents and do things with them only to hear about the ex. My parents just don’t get it. I have tried talking to them and they always say “we don’t talk to her that much”. They also say “we just want to see the kids, and we know you don’t have them very much and don’t want to take that time away from you”. My filling on this is they should try more to see them when I have them and be more a part of there lives when I have them. Make my wife fill like she is more a part of the family and not the ex. Any advice on this? How do I get my parents to understand what they are doing to my family and life I am trying to rebuild and make stable for my kids who have been through enough in a nasty relationship between me and there mother.

Explain this..

My brother, who is 23, is gay.
My brother has never had anything bad happen to him (i.e. abuse as a child). My parents raised us as Methodists. We were at church every Sunday. My parents are still married. We are what you would call a picture perfect family.
My brother came out when he was 20 years old. He told my mom how he had always know from when he was little. He would tell us how he remembers at age 13 spending the night at his best friends house and laying there in bed and getting nervous cause he was so close to a boy. It would gross him out and he would run to the bathroom and throw up. Later, in his teens, he tried all kinds of stuff. Straight porn, therapy, going to a preacher to remove the "demon", he even tried hypnosis.
He is still gay.
So tell me.. how did he choose this life?
Why did "choose" the lifestyle that is not accepted by many people, religions, cultures..
Why did he "choose" the life where people constantly tease, ridicule you? Explain

Because I am gay...I can perpetuate these stereotypes... :-)

Why is it that so many hair stlylists are gay?
Why is it that so many artists are gay?
Why is it that so many interior decorators are gay?
Why is it that so many designers are gay?
Why is it that so many in theater are gay?
Why is it that so many dancers are gay?

Could it be that gay people are more creative than their straight counterparts?

Is creativity learned, or is it something you are born with? I believe it to be something one is born with....therefore, is there a link between the "creative gene" and the "gay gene"?

Granted, not all gay people are creative...but, I would wager a guess...especially considering the disproportionate number of gay people in creative fields, that gays on average are more creative than their straight counterparts.

Your thoughts?

And please, no need to regurgitate the memorized scripture for "battling the homosexual"...we all know it.

Christians (and other faithful people) normally pray often for God to perform miracles which violate the laws of physics. They believe this is possible because God can do anything. So when a terrible event occurs, why don't they pray for God to retroactively prevent it from occuring? Is God not capable of altering past events? Why not? Space, time, and laws of nature never seem to be a problem when God performs a miracle.

You see and hear about it every day. People claim that they prayed for days, weeks, months or even years on end and suddenly their prayer is answered!
So why is it that god won't heal amputees? We've got lots of soldiers coming home from Iraq with missing limbs, and I'm sure most of them have prayed to be healed. So Why won't god heal them and give them their limbs back? I'm also quite sure a lot of these soldiers are deeply religious, and yet god still does not answer them.
I'm sure those people in Texas two days ago prayed not to die in a flood, but they did. Why didn't god answer their prayers?

I'm sure a least some of the people who died in 9/11 prayed with all their might to be saved from death. Why didn't god answer?

My Aunt Kaite, a very deeply spiritual person, prayed like crazy to not die of Alzheimer’s, but god didn't answer her prayers.

Three months ago an 8 year old girl was raped and murdered out in Nevada. I'm quite sure she prayed, but god did not answer.

Why do you think he hasn't replied. PLEASE HELP. Confused!?
I had a fling with a guy for around half a year. We both have a partner and i dont know about him but i love mine to bits, just get bored sometimes (hence why the fling happened) Anyway the guy just stopped being in contact one day with his reason being 'its wrong' Well he had said that many times before but as soon as we saw each other again, it tended to go out the window. Anyway this time its for real and I can't figure out why this time he really doesn't want anything to do with me. So i wrote him a letter and posted it basically saying i never wanted more than no strings, but i miss it and can't figure out why the sudden change of heart and can he please explain so i can understand and move on, I also asked if he hates me. He then told me he would ring me, but he hasn't, nor has he replied. Why do you think this might be so? Please answer, i am confused

I have a twenty yr old central system with poor air flow to the farthest vents. I had a tech come in and he found some significant leaks. Most of these were from the 4" take-offs. Another problem he suggested might be the "squirrel cage" of the blower could be plugged up. Does this make sense? What else would you suggest?

I am good at physics, and the chip-level architectures really rocks my socks. What kind of subjects do I focus on to achieve this aim?
