the wages of sin is death as correctly stated in an earlier post. This death though is not just a physical death but also a spiritual death meaning an eternity separated from God. Jesus Christ paid the debt in full for all of our sins, past, present and future and offers us eternal life as a gift. It is the same as standing in front of a judge and being given a life sentence and someone you don't know approaches the judge and offers to take your punishment for you and you go free. I've oversimplified it some but that in essence is what the wages of sin are and I just want to make sure that you know the debt is paid in full. You can't earn it, you can't buy it, you can't lose it. You can only accept it or reject it. If you do accept it, you can't give it back.

Romans 6:23 "The wages sin pays is death"

To pay for our sins we have to die. However, Jesus died for those excersising faith in him. He tasted death for every man that excersises faith (Hebrews 2:9). He paid the wage.

Romans 6:23 explains it best.

"For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

This means simply, the wages for sins you commit in this life, be they evil, deadly, fun, advantageous, profitable, and/or carnal will ultimately kill you and consign you to an eternity in The Lake Of Fire, but for those who admit their sins and accept God's precious gift, Jesus Christ, His Son, will spend eternity in Heaven.

It looks like this question has already been answered. I just want to ask Kaillin, what is your problem? I don't care if you believe in my God or not, that doesn't give you a right to call Him a sociopath. A message to all athesits, please back off. It's fine if you don't agree with us Christians, that doesn't mean you have to insult us.

Death, and the debt is already paid. All anyone has to do is accept it.
