Maybe they are mentioned. Read this description of a creature living during the time of Job:
1 "Can you pull in the leviathan with a fishhook
or tie down his tongue with a rope?
2 Can you put a cord through his nose
or pierce his jaw with a hook?
3 Will he keep begging you for mercy?
Will he speak to you with gentle words?
4 Will he make an agreement with you
for you to take him as your slave for life?
5 Can you make a pet of him like a bird
or put him on a leash for your girls?
6 Will traders barter for him?
Will they divide him up among the merchants?
7 Can you fill his hide with harpoons
or his head with fishing spears?
8 If you lay a hand on him,
you will remember the struggle and never do it again!
9 Any hope of subduing him is false;
the mere sight of him is overpowering.
10 No one is fierce enough to rouse him.
Who then is able to stand against me?
11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay?
Everything under heaven belongs to me.
12 "I will not fail to speak of his limbs,
his strength and his graceful form.
13 Who can strip off his outer coat?
Who would approach him with a bridle?
14 Who dares open the doors of his mouth,
ringed about with his fearsome teeth?
15 His back has rows of shields
tightly sealed together;
16 each is so close to the next
that no air can pass between.
17 They are joined fast to one another;
they cling together and cannot be parted.
18 His snorting throws out flashes of light;
his eyes are like the rays of dawn.
19 Firebrands stream from his mouth;
sparks of fire shoot out.
20 Smoke pours from his nostrils
as from a boiling pot over a fire of reeds.
21 His breath sets coals ablaze,
and flames dart from his mouth.
22 Strength resides in his neck;
dismay goes before him.
23 The folds of his flesh are tightly joined;
they are firm and immovable.
24 His chest is hard as rock,
hard as a lower millstone.
25 When he rises up, the mighty are terrified;
they retreat before his thrashing.
26 The sword that reaches him has no effect,
nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin.
27 Iron he treats like straw
and bronze like rotten wood.
28 Arrows do not make him flee;
slingstones are like chaff to him.
29 A club seems to him but a piece of straw;
he laughs at the rattling of the lance.
30 His undersides are jagged potsherds,
leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge.
31 He makes the depths churn like a boiling caldron
and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment.
32 Behind him he leaves a glistening wake;
one would think the deep had white hair.
33 Nothing on earth is his equal—
a creature without fear.
34 He looks down on all that are haughty;
he is king over all that are proud."

sure, the behemoth & leviathan are reported. And so as meaning they have been around with human beings. maximum or all being vegetarians could clarify why they did no longer consume each and each of the folk. talking of fossils, the great Flood of Noah's day became issues the different way up and due to this the fossil layer isn't consistent w/ the theories of evolution. additionally, the bible tells us that the ambience replaced into lots diverse earlier the great Flood than what we've in the present day and that's additionally why some animals could desire to no longer proceed to exist and immediately became extinct. All cultures checklist memories of 'dragons'...perchance that's what we now consult with as dinosaurs. could Gob bless all of you!

You must be a fast reader to read the Bible one night and know that dinosaurs are not mentioned in it.
The Bible doesn't mention dinosaurs because it isn't essential that we know about them. Though, it does mention sea monsters in Genesis... how far did you read up to, by the way?
The Bible also doesn't say that God created atoms but doesn't prove He didn't. How thick do you think the Bible would be if he went into detail with every single creation?

The history of the creation of the world is in Genesis 1. And it goes from the big bang "let there be light"* to the first human in very few words.
Last time I checked evolution states we evolved out of the sea and dinosaurs are thought now to be more closely related to birds than lizards.
To me below is not a bad way of explaining the first few million years of life on earth to someone who lived thousands of years ago and had no knowledge of modern science:
"So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.""**
It still makes sense with today limited understand and I dare say in may still make sense when scientist have change their mind for the umpteenth time about how life on earth was formed.
Oh and by the way the beginning of Genesis 1 is actually makes sense with current scientific understanding too, if you realise the story is told as if you were standing on the surface of the earth. Earth was original a gas cloud, the solid ground separated from the atmosphere, the stars were not visible until the atmosphere became less dense, and the moon was actual part of the Earth (you can tell from our orbit around the sun), it is thought a comet crash through the earth and split it in two.
You do not actually have to pick between religion and science, one tells us about our creator, the other about the creation.

Because the bible is not about dinosaurs! And it is not a "history of the world" either, it's a collection of writings from a small part of the world covering a limited period of time. The people who wrote it had no idea dinosaurs had ever existed - and why should they? Dinosaur remains were only discovered for the first time a couple of hundred years ago.

The Bible is not a history book that describes every detail of God's creation. Rather, it is a book that tells how mankind fell from God, and how God by means of his Kingdom by Christ Jesus, will vindicate His soveregnty and sanctify His name, as well as bring humans back to their original standing.
Furthermore, dinosaurs could well be among the creatures mentioned in Genesis 1:20, 21, 24, 25

Not 100% sure, but I think it's because mentioning dinosaurs in the Bible would mean that the religion believes in science and in Darwinism. Everything that we know that is in someway connected to the dinosaurs has to do with science and the many theories concerning their existance. If they were to be mentioned in the Bible then the religion would have to explain their role and connection to God...which we all know there exists no proof of that. Therefore the best thing to do is to simply leave out that important section in our world history.

'dinosaur' means 'giant lizard'. There were big lizard thousands of years ago. That's were the knights got their stories of dragons from. Flying dragons=pterodactyls. We have a giant lizard on earth today, it's the Komodo Dragon. It's just not as big as reptiles were in the earlier day. Before the great flood, reptiles were much largers. God had babies put on the ark (for space and for other reasons). After the flood, animals' food supplies had changed, so the reptiles didn't grow as big and they didn't live as long (neither did mankind) so they didn't grow as big. Reptiles never stop growing. So before the flood, they lived for hundreds of years and were huge. Now they live for 20-90 years and aren't that big.

Because one is evolution, which destroys the theory of every thing the Bible is about.
Also if God created Adam & Eve, who then had Cain & Abel. It would mean that Cain & Able had incest (sex) with Eve (their mother) in order to produce their offspring, Who then
all had incest with each other (brothers & sisters) and on and on. I am Catholic and remember asking when I was in grade school of my Catholic teacher a NUN. About the dinosaurs and cavemen. How did they get here, of which there is actual
proof, if Adam & Eve were supposed to be the first people on earth. Did we evolve backwards? I never did get an answer to that one. And that was the end of my religious upbringing, as far as I was concerned.

Actually, I think it is in there. Genesis 1: 21--"And God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moveth. . ." Cats and dogs aren't mentioned either, but we have them, and they are included in the mention of "living creatures".
Thing is, stuff like that is only given a minor mention because it is not really intregal to the story. The Bible is, in a nutshell, the story of man's fall and redemption by God's grace. It isn't meant to necessarily be a history book, although there are historical stories that are included that pertain to the main point and highlight some important truth that is being conveyed.
