Five Billions of years ago, long before the Earth had any form at all, there were trillions of 'dirty little snowballs' and bigger and bigger ones colliding together. This all took place when our Sun was still a hungry accreting 'brown drawf sized star' in the center of the planetary nebula, where it competed with might Jupiter for MASS! Now the Solar System was way back then, mostly filled with what are today called Kuiper Belt objects, and Oort Cloud objects. "And the Earth was without FORM and VOID' and darkness was on the FACE of the DEEP(abyss)" Genesis 1:1,2 Was darkness on the face of the planetary nebula, filled with comet -like bodies floating in the super cold of the planetary nebula??? Which would eventually become our Solar System, and the area where the Earth would eventually take shape into a planet??? But why use snow covered rocks and rocks containing mostly water ice???
