I prefer people names for dogs rather than the usual Spot or Sparky.
Look at her and see what pops into your head. You can even try looking at a baby name website to get some ideas.
My dogs are named Frank, Peter, Casey and Sophia.

Depending upon your interests and likes, you could always pick a name of your favorite female actress or character in a book. Also you might want to keep the name to just a few syllables, nothing too long. For me personally, if she were my dog I'd probably name her Chewy or Latte.

I believe that cute names are very child like. grab a baby name book, your dog is an extension of your family, you wouldnt name a family member fluffy or snowball. How about Tina or Sara or along those lines.

If she's chocolate brown, why not name her after your favorite chocolate candy? You might try Hershey, Nestle, Kisses, Rolo, Reese, the list is endless. Since she's a purebred, and you already say she's your joy, why not call her that, and list her name on her papers as Almond Joy?

i had a dog I adored named Naya. She was named after the lake in Yosemite (Tenaya), which is relaly named after the chief of the Indians that lived in Yosemite (Ahwahneechee). I know it sounds involved but Naya sounded pretty to me. I would pronounce it like Ny-a.
