As I understand it, an asphyxiant displaces oxygen in your lungs and leads to suffocation. What I don't understand is, how isn't any gas besides oxygen considered an asphyxiant? Anything can displace oxygen and lead to suffocation, because you can breathe too much of it instead of getting oxygen.

I have two very close friends. The three of us were at one point in time, unseperatable. The first girl, is acutally my cousin. We have been close since childhood. The second is someone I've known for 7 years. I orginally meet her through my cousin, but we have developed out own relationship.

Well, my cousin has been making some poor choices in the past 2 years. My family is very aware of this. They have tried to help her, as have I and our friend. No one can get through to her. She's in her early 20's, no job, no car, dropped out of school, she smokes pot and she has stoled money from me and our friend.

Now, it's time for my wedding. As kids, I promised to make her my maid of honor, b/c she is the closet I have ever had to a sister. However, I don't want to do it anymore. Her behavior is out of control, I know she will not be able to afford the expenses and I'm afarid she will not be reliable. I'm doing lots of DIY, I need my bridal party go give me a

Yesterday, my friend was on his bycicle, and he got hit from a truck that came from over the hill he was at the bottom at...I was with him...and I called 911, they came here ASAP and worked on him for about 30 minutes... but he died. He died right in front of my eyes, and I don't know what to do. I feel so horrible, and can't get it out of my head. Any advice, please?

to punish undocumented immigrants who came to America for many of the same good reasons they or their ancestors came for when they came to America? Sure we have an immigration problem causing other kinds of problems, like just living is a problem, like population growth is a problem but loathing them, the undocumented immigrants who are here admittedly illegally and who are not criminals except by the loathing blanket definition of their haters is draconian, uncaring, and hypocritical. In fact it may be logically contradictory and unamerican.
