When you ask a question about baseball on this site are you looking for answers that agree with your position on the subject, or are you looking for the positions others take to expand your knowledge of the game?

Me personally I like to ask and answer question on people's opinion to see where baseball fans are on certain topics. Sometimes when you read other people's opinion on topics it does expand your knowledge on the game or sport. It lets you see things through someone else's point of view and might allow you to re-think your position on a certain topic because it allows you to see a different perspective. I also like to answer trivia questions because it makes you use sources to locate the answer. I've looked up a few answers and in viewing certain sites I find other things about the sport I find interesting. One thing I do hate is all the Yankee and Red Sox talk. It's bad enough I hear it on the radio and on TV all the time. Guess who's on ESPN tonight for Wednesday Night Baseball. NYY vs. ARI.

To be honest, both. No one can say that they look for other viewpoints on a certain subject. Its part of human nature to be stubborn. We only see what we want to see. That's a fact! People like to be right. People like others to agree with them. It gives them a sense of power.
There are many who want to take their knowledge of baseball to another level. I am one of them. I learn something new about baseball, the teams, and whatnot everyday not even by asking questions, but by simply looking at them and answers. It's intriguing.

Usually you ask a question because you arent really sure what the actual answer is. People look for the answer or opinion that seems to be the most reasonable.

I mainly look to antagonize and embarrass bandwagon Red Sox and Patriot fans, but I also love to circle the wagons with others fans of teams I love.

Given how many of the questions are "resolved", I'd have to state that most people are merely looking for others to agree with them.

Both at times. Mostly for the knowledge though.

Human nature might make you desire to seem. Kinda like whilst you're using down the street and you spot a lifeless animal at the street, regardless of how a lot you inform your self "do not seem" simply while you get upon it you seem.

I hate Yankee and Red Sox fans because they think they are the only teams that count. When any of them ask a question and you don't agree they make fun of you. All they want you to do is agree with them so I don't pay any attention to their stupid questions.
