In the U.S. history classes I have taken, we barely ever talked about slavery or the brutal tactics used the against the Idians when we took thier land. When presidents like Geroge Washington are bragged about, no one ever mentions his use of slaves. No one ever mentions how right after Abraham Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address, he went right to bossing around his slaves. Why is it that when hese things are reflected on, it is considered OK? So what if these people lived 200 years ago, they were by today's standards, "bad people". I don't understand why just because these people led our country and founded it, they have to be considered good people.

I am looking for an apartment and someone told me to be sure that I don't have any rental judgements. (Specifically "judgments or debts for money owed to landlords")

Please tell me:
WHAT ARE CONSIDERED RENTAL JUDGEMENTS OR DEBTS OWED TO LANDLORDS?

Do you think this chick will have a friend in the world after this?

Everyone should lobby to have her do community service....she got off way too easy...thank your judicial system for teaching our young kids that the rich and famous are above the law and deserve to be imprisoned in a room you or I could only dream of affording one night to spend in.

She sleeps with her teddy bear as punishment...the rest of us can sleep with rats.

My boss is leaving work in a few days and we're having a party for him and we're also celebrating the guy taking his position. I need to supply some of the music... I was looking for some good songs to dedicate to the boss that's gonna leave and to the one that just got promoted...

Just my observation, but it seems that most asian males born and raised in the U.S. don't have the gregariousness and raunchiness that many foreign-born/raised asians have. I have a friend from Hongkong he is loud and lively, which I seldom see here. Most asian americans I meet here are soft-spoken, conforming, and seems trying too hard to play along. I see these traits in Asian-American movies as well (Except for Better Luck Tomorrow). Do you think my comment has a grain of truth? If yes, why do you think it is?

I have met a wonderful, respectful, gentlemen on the internet. We havent been talking long, 2 months, but the connection is great. He is absolutely wonderful and courteous. He lives 16 hrs from me so meeting him would be difficult. He has obligations along w/me, we just cant get up and meet one another. As much as I want to meet him, is it fair to go thru w/this. Once we meet it might drive us insane for the distance between us would keep us from one another. He cant come to me if it gets serious for he has his own business and I cant go to him for I have 2 kids and dont feel its fair to up root them from family and their father. I have fallen for this guy but there is also the questions of is he who he says he is. What if we meet and it doesnt work out, which solves my dilema but what if it does? I hurt him by putting the brakes on. Would it be best for me to say good bye to him so in the long run I dont hurt him badly or drive myself crazy and mess w/our hearts. I'm just so confused

I went through a really bad break up and need a good "girl power" book, as retarded as that sounds. He cheated and I know I am better off without him, I just need a reminder every now and again. Please no self help books.

OK all you trainers / dog showers out there, I've got a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. I'm entering my smooth collie puppy in a couple of outdoor shows in a couple of days. I use a martingale/limited-slip (AKA greyhound) collar and a nylon leash. I'd like to know if there are any restrictions to using these, or will I have use a slip-type (I.e. choker) collar?

I'm going to be getting my first dental crown on a molar in July because of a crack in my tooth. I'm just curious, will the pains that I feel when I bite down be gone as soon as the tempoaray crown is placed? Or, will I not feel a difference until the permanent crown is placed?

Ok, let me explain. I have a beagle now, but he belongs to my sister, and she's moving out. My son is great with him, and the beagle is great with my son. Of course, we care for the beagle, and make sure my son doesn't mistreat him. I'm an animal lover, and can't tolerate people who own pets, but don't take care of them. This beagle even had insurance, so he's very well taken care of. Problem with the beagle is that he too sheds a lot, and he's way too spoiled; he never was fully potty trained. (Our fault of course...comes with having to live in apartments and working all day) I'm looking for a smaller dog now for my son to have that kind of companionship.
