Thanks for the info! My fiancee and I LOVE my Mac and we're going to be needing a second computer soon, but can't afford another Mac right now...I hate all the Windows bugs and was concerned about this. That's great to know! Thanks. :)

Like they said... Some may have cracked it so it starts up on other hardware, but there's no guarantee anything will work properly past that point.

The reason that OS X so stable by comparison is because it's written for specific set of hardware- so the developers have the exact same platform as the end-users, whereas no two PCs have exactly the same hardware.

If everyone in PC-land had the exact same brand & model of motherboards, video card, sound cards, DVD-drives, disk controllers etc- then Windows XP but would be exponentially more stable. In attempting to be compatible with everything, Microsoft's OS can run into problems with anything.

Vista?? Not gonna touch that hog until the first service pack at least...

WOW! so now instead of only "crap" xp or vista i can have the ultimate in crap OSs.
(Are you mad? Do you really believe that anyone bought a mac for its OS? People buy macs because they are fashionable, and no a dell isn't.)
If actually wanted the OSX effect i would just to this;

BTW Your "proof" says that it cannot be done.

A. It won't run well at all. In fact, it will run like crap because it isn't designed to run natively in a PC.

B. If you hack your PC to run OSX, you will be very disappointed.

C. You want OSX? Get a Mac.
