Tell her the *dress* does not make her look fat. At 300 lbs, she knows she's fat, she probably just wants to know if it makes her look fatter.

Well people that are overweight usually don't have the confidence to ask someone how they look because they have dealt with people ridiculing them and are very insecure . I don't think an overweight person would ask that period. You only see that in movies for comedy...which isn't funny to me.

if it's not a two-piece outfit and in all one color...then tell her yes, and tell her why (give her a clue that she needs a two-piece outfit in one color, preferably a dark color and no belt, and the skirt should come to her knees or below...suggest a pantsuit).
