I have met a wonderful, respectful, gentlemen on the internet. We havent been talking long, 2 months, but the connection is great. He is absolutely wonderful and courteous. He lives 16 hrs from me so meeting him would be difficult. He has obligations along w/me, we just cant get up and meet one another. As much as I want to meet him, is it fair to go thru w/this. Once we meet it might drive us insane for the distance between us would keep us from one another. He cant come to me if it gets serious for he has his own business and I cant go to him for I have 2 kids and dont feel its fair to up root them from family and their father. I have fallen for this guy but there is also the questions of is he who he says he is. What if we meet and it doesnt work out, which solves my dilema but what if it does? I hurt him by putting the brakes on. Would it be best for me to say good bye to him so in the long run I dont hurt him badly or drive myself crazy and mess w/our hearts. I'm just so confused

Well i would say that this is not the right time for this relationship to blossom any more for the reasons you have stated. I would probably just try to remain friends at this stage- you both know you are in an impossible situation and you both have to accept that unless you want to make sacrifices. I made friends with a man on the net a while ago, thought he was wonderful- eventually took the bull by the horns and met him- he was 20 years older than he said and he was like a tramp- it was awful. On the other hand i then met my current boyfriend and moved in with him within two weeks of meeting him and we have been together for 4 years- on reflection it was a daft thing to do but i was on anti-depressants- but you need to be very careful.

It sounds the best thing to do is let him go before someone gets hurt. I am srry that i don't have anything else to but good luck and may your heart lead u in the right direction.

go meet him, take the kids, stay in a hotel for a few days while you meet w/ each other, then go back home to your old ways. don't say that you'll break his heart, cuz you won't

Circumstances change. I say meet him, you never know what could happen down the line. But if you don't you may kick yourself in the butt the rest of your life.

When a man is really interested in you there's not nothing that stops him to come to you...ask him to come and if he doesn't forget about him.
