My new company pays an external relocation agent to help new employees. After she sent me a massive quote for shipping my stuff, I went and got my own quotes, the most expensive of which was less than a quarter of her quote. She asked me to forward any lower quotes to her so she could work with those companies in future, which I did. Next thing I get a call from one of the companies saying that she had contacted them to ask for her 'commission'. She has been very slow and only sending me properties from one agent and all over our budget. Clearly it's because she has a commission deal with them, which has meant that I've been spending lots of time trying to find a property myself. Should I tell my new employer about this? After all, they are paying her to help me and she is just trying to help herself. The only thing is that I know she has been working with them for a long time and I don't know what sort of politics may be involved, and I wouldn't want to make enemies in a new place...

I live about an hour away from Miami and sometimes I like visiting it and other surrounding areas for no reason other than the hell of it because I like to see other areas in my state and what they look like. Other people say I'm weird because of this but I guess I just enjoying traveling and seeing new places. What do you think? Does anyone else do stuff like this?

Why cant we exchange ideas in a mature and knowledgable fashion? I mean not calling the opposing ideas stupid or unreal. Christians have their faith, and they are to be kind and loving even toward the "enemy". Unfortunitally many are not. I think they need to think about how they are acting and say to themselves "what would Jesus do"? You would get many more people to believe you faith if you were kind and knowledgable about it. Atheists, wouldn't it be better if you showed some class, not putting down Christians. You are only being immature when your only answer to many Queations is "Because God doesn't exist" or "Stupid Christians need to realize..." Just like the Christians, you are not going to get people to become Atheist like that.

Please start being kind and not a smart a**, and debate in a mature fashion.

The quasar's bright light illuminates the hydrogen gas in front of it, which lets astronomers see whether the atoms still have their electrons attached or not, which could help pin down the date of this momentous event.

The quasar might also be able to help astronomers learn about the growth of the first black holes; the black hole powering this quasar is estimated to be about 500 million times the mass of the sun, which is thought to be unusual for an early black hole.

"It is puzzling how such enormous black holes are found so early on in the universe ... because we believe that black holes take a long time to grow," said team member John Hutchings of the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics. "

Today, there's an article about how scientists discovered a black hole 13 billion light years away from earth. This confuses me because if the universe is only 13.7 billion years old (from the point of the big bang), how could an object get so far away from earth if objects in space are moving away from each other at a speed substantially less than the speed of light? Further, wouldn't the point of the big bang be the center of the universe, meaning that there's still a center now with "edges" expanding into the unknown? I would think that wherever one was in the universe one would be able to look the same distance in each direction, which would imply that from each's vantage point, one is in the center. If that's true, what exactly is the shape of the universe? Does it "wrap around" on itself? Lastly, if one could see 13.7 billion light years away in any direction, would one be looking at the big bang itself?
