Having worked at top universities, I've come to understand that there will always be "more talented" or "smarter" people than you. It is a hang-up for most scientists and this is a fact people need to accept and move on. We aren't all equal, despite what the new education movement wants to promote. BUT, this doesn't mean we can't be successful and happy.
They key to success in science is to carve your own niche and make a real contribution to your field of science. Success in science is measured by your publications and their impact (i.e. the contribution to science), your abilities to network and communicate with scientists, policymakers, students, and the public, and money you secure for your research and outreach.
To be good at these things, you have to have a number of attributes aside from being "smart". Creativity, innovation, personality, effective communication (verbal & written), charisma, etc. You have to be able to play the game (there's a lot of politics and who knows who in science) and walk the walk (you have to be an innovative and critical thinker) as a scientist.

I've thought about this a lot. We all have strengths and weaknesses. So somebody is smarter, someone else more creative and some one else more physically agile. It's likely a combination of genes, up bringing and an individual's unique perespective that make them what they are.
You must also consider your own strengths. Maybe you aren't the smartest one in the room but you are unique. You are your own one of a kind.

I believe everyone is equally intelligent when born (although mentally challenged cases are exceptions to it). Its upto individual how effectively to use it. Those who look more talented happen to master some or other things. Its all using ones hardwork, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses to master.

well i think people are responsible 4 who they become in life, exposure to great ideas at a tender age is important because it gives one the opportunity of having a focus, focus is good because it spurs one to hardwork, hardwork is good because it means practice, and practice makes perfect

Nature believes in variety. Some people may be smarter than you, but you may be better looking, you may be nicer etc. So, don't grudge each his / her unique traits, including yours.
