We've all been through things in our lives that no one ever taught us about. So what I'd like to know is, what are the things you had to learn for yourself, that your teachers, parents and friends didn't teach you. You don't need to go into detail if you don't want to, but I would at least like something general to work with. This is for a research project. thank you.

I'm trying to figure out why I can't seem to grow my finger nails on my middle fingers. The other 8 of my nails grow fine, healthy and strong, so it doesn't seem like it could be an issue with diet/nutrition. Yet, on the middle finger of each hand, I can barely get the nail past the edge of my finger. My best guess is that this is wear and tear, since that is the longest finger on the hand. Anyone have any suggestions on how to grow these nails?

I live in the pacific northwest. It would be instead of grass because I am totally allergic to grass. I would like something 3 inches max that doesn't need to be mowed. I would prefer something I could buy seeds for because I have about a 4000 sq ft area to cover.

It's easy to be flippant and say you won't care because god will make everything bearable, but unless you are fond of mind-control, there will be memories. There will be the knowledge that people you loved and cared for, people who may have been exceptional, kind compassionate human beings in life will forever be suffering.

Some of you claim you won't care. Some of you are so certain that the intoxicating effects of heaven and the potency of being with your maker will alleviate the sorrow you'd normally feel, but lets be honest... this would be a sham. A self-deception. A way to rationalize an ugly truth about your religion.

A truly evolved person wouldn't deceive themselves like this.

A truly evolved creator wouldn't anesthetize its creations like this.

What an interesting place this heaven... where you go to give up who and what you are.

A continuation from my last question...In my religion being homosexual is grave sin actually it's unacceptable. I think its that way across the board for most religions I don't know correct me if I'm wrong.....I guess we commit so many sins that we just accept things... So do you consider being gay a sin?

I just bought 3 emus in hopes that they will kill snakes on my 25 acre farm. I have two seasonal ponds and I have seen numerous snakes around here.

Is there antoher animal that is better at killing snakes? I have water mocassins and rattlesnakes. And 5 or 6 species that I haven't been able to identify yet.

Okay where does my story begin?! I have been concerned for my best friend latley. I have been having nightmares of his death for weeks now. They are similar to the ones I had before my girlfriend and grandfather died. Now my friend has been getting into risky territory so that is one reason why I am concerned. Someone threatend him with a gun and then there are a few that want to see him get killed. And now a member of the new Trench Coat Mafia or what ever it is called wants me to join them so I can protect my friend. I have heard of this gang before. This person has been telling me things about the new TCM and telling me things about the government that are bad. They are telling me these stories to get me to join them and become anti government. They offer my friend protection and they will train me so I can protect them. Should I join them or remain by my friend's side?

That is, isn't it more mystical and silly to think that everything just BOOMED into existence than it is to think there was some intellectual design and creator?

I mean, come on! It's not like, BOOM! and we have a supercomputer.

It seems more like an easy way out to say "God doesn't exist" than it is saying that things can happen at random (i.e. the universe).

My US history final is in two days and my teacher was nice enough to give me a review guide - but what does "pogroms" mean? I thought she might have misspelled "programs" but I talked to a classmate and he said there actually was a term "pogroms" in our Immigration section. (But he wouldn't tell me what it means!! Ugh.)
