as far as i know, emus arent known for killin snakes, cats, just pet cats are really good for killin snakes, other animals that kill snakes include birds of prey, other snakes (king snakes) and a mongoose (dont know if you can get one of these tho). if you lived closer id come and take care of the snakes myself, i catch em alive no matter what the species. anyways good luck, let me know how things turn out.

nicely, right this is the undesirable information. I relatively have 3 emus and function in many circumstances seen Brown Snakes and Taipans leisurley shifting interior the direction of the emu pen. the best the emus are going to do is try to stomp the snake. yet, hazard is they're only going to run. especially on account that they have adequate room to flee. Guinea chicken are meant to be stable at conserving snakes away. yet, i think of it relatively is barely because of the fact they fossick interior the undergrowth which might discourage snakes from sticking around. ideas you, I relatively have 4 Guinea hens and nevertheless had a venomous snake seem in my kitchen final summer season. i'm with the previous answerer. leave the snakes on my own...enable them to administration your rodent inhabitants.

I lived in La. for years and when I got me some emus, the snakes left.I do believe they will stomp them. They pop their feet(claws) when they want to hurt things.I know they can make a rooster run and kill them. When they jump and stop popping their feet, they are stomping something.Aren't they curious?I miss mine.

So you bought 3 of the dumbest birds on earth "hoping" they will kill snakes? Why didn't you find out first?
I highly doubt it. What would make you think they would?

I think I heard they do... you might check out Rheas and Cassowaries as well. What I have heard, also, is that any of these birds, in one swift kick, can gut a human being before he realizes he's been kicked. So be nice to your birdies! :-)
