this is 100% true story, I eye witnessed it, it did not happen at a revival or faith healing service, but in a motel room;
My brother who was 15 at the time , got struck on the front of his leg (the Shin) with a broom.
A blood clot the size of a Lime was bulging out on his leg, he showed it to my Mom who almost fainted at the sight.
She fell to her Knees laid hands on it and Prayed to God to heal him, she kept saying over and over, "in Jesus Name".
everytime she lifted her hand up the lump would get smaller, I stuck my hand on it between my moms hand and brothers leg, the heat was very intense. We could hear a crackling noise , smaller and smaller till my brother srcreamed, stop "mom my legs gonna cave in"
My dad made her take him to a DR. the next morning, the DR. comfirmed it "was" a blood clot, gave her some long name for it. He was astounded at the healing.
No one can ever convince me God is not real I seen him move and work first hand.
So explain this if there is no God?

An infrastructure was in place in California. Everyone who owned one loved the car and didn't want to give it up.

Someone educated in hair science please explain is there any truth to this well known belief? A prievious entry said that there are receptors in hair roots. When hair is cut the tension at the root is less. This triggers hair growth until the predetermined tension level is reached. This is the first time I heard an explanation that sounds possible. Others that say cutting the split ends causes growth means to me that there is just less breakage so hair appears to grow longer. But the "tension sensor" explanation also answers a question I have had as to why a dog's hair only grows so long.

Just teasing out the waters, since I get different answers -- would you guys get an underwater filter for a new goldfish tank? I have a friend who as of today was just diagnoised with breast cancer, stage 2. We are thinking of trying to get her down to Cancer Treatment Center of Zion, IL and was wondering if anyone had any good (or bad) experiences there and if they considered the treatment appropriate and helpful. We live 500 miles from there, but we want to see if we can get her up there. Just wanting some input, thanks.

I myself have a beige computer case, but that does not mean I have more processing power than my fellow Black computers. Processing power depends on the processor, which are all silver-colored. Some even think that beige or white looks less modern than black, but there aren't any computer-case slurs.

Is this any different from minor racial differences, which many people insult others over?
