sorry, i don't have that tendency. i have a hard time talking to girls without leading them on.

sometimes a guy might really like you but isn't sure that you like him back. for all he know you are leading him on too. if you try to hangout away from people who he shows off for you may really get his true feelings. i had to do that with my boyfriend now ex-boyfriend and we lasted for 7 months.

well i'm not a guy, but um...
i'd say it's all an ego thing. they like that they could have the power and control to make you like them.
but of course that was a big generalization, right there.

guys are always looking for backup;
reguardless of what they say, they
feel like its nice to have someone
'on the backburner' so to speak,
someone to fall back on if it doesnt
work out w/ someone else.
guys also like to compete to see
how many girls they can get to
fall all over them and have
competeitions to see what kind
of girls they can get.
generally speaking, most guys
are a$$holes. and sometimes,
you havta find out for yourself
before you believe it be true.
