this is 100% true story, I eye witnessed it, it did not happen at a revival or faith healing service, but in a motel room;
My brother who was 15 at the time , got struck on the front of his leg (the Shin) with a broom.
A blood clot the size of a Lime was bulging out on his leg, he showed it to my Mom who almost fainted at the sight.
She fell to her Knees laid hands on it and Prayed to God to heal him, she kept saying over and over, "in Jesus Name".
everytime she lifted her hand up the lump would get smaller, I stuck my hand on it between my moms hand and brothers leg, the heat was very intense. We could hear a crackling noise , smaller and smaller till my brother srcreamed, stop "mom my legs gonna cave in"
My dad made her take him to a DR. the next morning, the DR. comfirmed it "was" a blood clot, gave her some long name for it. He was astounded at the healing.
No one can ever convince me God is not real I seen him move and work first hand.
So explain this if there is no God?

scrambled_egg81...I never said she "pressed" her hands on it. I said she layed her Had on it. she was very scared and would never have "pressed" it in case she caused it to break apart and go over his heart and kill him. she "gently" layed hands on just touched him. so please don't twist words to suit yourself. thanks

There IS a God, His name is Jesus Christ, and Jesus IS the Messiah! And just the use of His name can heal!

You are right. There can't possibly be an explanation outside of god.

Seriously though...the blood clot disappearing, ok. No big deal. Crackling sounds? That's a bit far-fetched, but our memories are selective, and in times of stress, our minds can play tricks on us.

Our ancestors did not understand lightning, plague, or famine either. They felt the only explanation was an angry god. Now we know better. Did they understand why infants sometimes died for "no reason", or why the sun rose and set every day, or why the ground would sometimes shake?

Just because we don't have the answer to something now doesn't mean we must attribute it to a god.

no person even knows the blood lines of Mary. this is basically made up stuff interior the hot testomony after the actuality to objective and squeeze the tale into the prophecies. not one of the disputes over this or that interpretation of this or that prophecy is honestly the subject. the subject concerns with the hot testomony flow far previous who's or isn't the Messiah. Paul and the others got here up with a theology that throughout all threat Jesus could have rejected. And that's that theology which could no longer be usual by utilising people who've faith interior the only God. regardless of if one assumed that Christians are perfect that Jesus replaced into the messiah and that he will "return" some day to fulfill the prophecies -- this is not appropriate or exchange something. We basically would desire to attend until that "return" happens. no remember if that's Jesus or somebody else who leads us for the period of the time of the achievement of the prophecies truly would not remember. Whomever that's often is the chief on the time, and whilst the international sees the prophecies fulfilled no person would be arguing approximately it. What can't be usual regardless of if one did settle for that Jesus replaced into an early-partial visual charm of the messiah as Christians contend - are the techniques of Paul and the others, which contain: a million. God would not forgive people who love and attempt to persist with Him. truly, He provides them with eternal suffering (until they settle for the messiah). it truly is fake, and all of us recognize that's fake because of the fact the jewish bible says that's fake. 2. someone has to have self belief in messianic techniques proposed by utilising Paul with a view to be forgiven by utilising God. it truly is fake, and all of us recognize that's fake because of the fact the jewish bible says that's fake. 3. All people are evil and should go through for all of eternity -- no person is "stable". it truly is fake, and all of us recognize that's fake because of the fact the jewish bible says that's fake. 4. God basically forgives if He gets some "blood" in ritual ceremonies. it truly is fake, and all of us recognize that's fake because of the fact the Jewish bible says that's fake. etc etc. So debates approximately no remember if Mary had intercourse or no longer before she had Jesus (thoroughly unknowable) are truly very plenty besides the element. no remember if the prophecy says "virgin" or "youthful female" are additionally very plenty besides the element. no remember if Jesus rode a donkey or no longer is besides the element. None of that concerns.

There are basically 2 options, you choose:

1. This was God's work. That means God heals people. That also means God let's 30,000 children die everyday on this planet caused by starvation and Aids. If he can fix a leg, he sure as hell could save those 30,000 kids, right?

2. There are things science can't explain yet. Which is only normal, we're all still learning and discovering new things. That means we have to accept that we don't know certain things.

Really, saying "God did it" means exactly the same as saying "I don't know". With one difference: saying "I don't know" leaves room to search for real answers.

Long ago people didn't know what caused Thunder. So, obviously Thor did it. When we figured it out, Thor was unemployed. Gods of the gaps is an intellectually poor stance, really.

Let me say first that I'm happy that your brother got healed. But in response to the question of whether that was a miracle or not, I would just have to ask this: What about the people who DON'T get healed? There have been plenty of sick and injured people who have received prayers from people, and many of them didn't get healed. That fact alone doesn't disprove the existence of miracles, but I can think of many examples of people who were very sick, received prayers, and nothing happened. What about them?

I have a hard time believing your story. I know Christians, I myself was once one, and this seems like the kind of story I would have once made up to try to make others believe in my religion. But if it did in fact happen then it is purely coincidental or it could perhaps be something of a placebo effect. Your brother though that god was in fact healing him therefore his body truly did heal him. The mind can do incredible things if it wants too from fighting cancer, curing the common cold, and causing quick healing. It all has to do with the mind.

If you think that there is a god can you explain why he she or it would pick and choose who to ''save'' or heal and who to let die. I know of a situation where a little girl was kidnapped, raped and stabbed to death. Her killer even admitted that before he killed her she told him that god loved him in spite of his past. He killed her anyway. I ever there was a time for a god to act I would think that it would have been then!

I am sure that there are many people who have prayed for healing and rescue but have died anyway.

Quite simple: blood clots are formed by platelet buildup in a vessel. The platelet structure is extremely sticky, hence why they stick to each other-by pressing on it, as you claim she did, she most likely loosened the bonding between the platelet buildup and the pressure that was built up behind the block simply thinned it out. The pain he felt sounds to me like a near thrombosis, or the migration of the platelet buildup through the vessel after it loosened.

Edit-sorry to disappoint you hon, but even "laying" pressure upon a clot can loosen it. It's simple medical fact, deny it or accept it. You obviously only want answers which support your view on what happened, so why even bother asking questions like this?

Edit 2!-please. You say your brother screaming isn't a sign of pain? Just stop while you're somewhat ahead. I obviously can't make a dent upon you with my analysis of what you told me, so why bother continuing? You'll hear only what you want to hear!

There is also many documented miracles in any other religion about healing. The name doesn't matter, the energy that does from the prayer is what heals. No matter who you pray to.I can turn around and ask you the same question and use any other religion.

Why is your brother any more important than all of those other ill or injured people out there that prayed "in Jesus name", yet were never healed?

Why does he not cure all that pray in his name? Why is his will to cure some and not others?
