Apparently it was also okay to feed Joseph Smith human flesh while he was incarcerated in Liberty Jail, meanwhile raping and murdering other Mormons.

http://www.jefflindsay.com/LDSFAQ/FQ_prophecies.shtml#jail

And the mob murdering Joseph and Hyrum Smith at Carthage...well, that wasn't actually illegal, you know. It was also justifiable. (Forget that there was no trial, no due process of law, just a crazed mob.)

What wonderful, exemplary Christians, wouldn't you say?

In Michigan, the U of M is required to stop providing benefits to partners and families of gays. Since we passed a law that says that gays cannot marry, the next step for the GOP was to make sure that workplaces cut off funding for partners of gay employees...does this make sense form a fiscally conservative point of view? Was this REALLY the point of making marriage strictly between one man and one woman? Will my tax dollars have to pay for the resulting fallout of denying medical insurance to a same sex partner? Or is denying healthcare to gays the next step?

I just watched the clip from "Almost Famous" where the entire bus starts singing Tiny Dancer by Elton John, which is a good example of a good car sing along song...
Can anyone think of other songs like tiny dancer that really gets the whole car into singing the song that is playing?

We brought a new baby home 2 days ago from the shelter. She is 1 and a half years old. She has been spayed and is wearing a cone to stop her from licking herself. She is eating and drinking water, purrs snuggles and explores (she is confined to one room right now as we have another kitty who loves to cuddle other cats)... but new kitty has not used her litterbox at all. No messes in the room either. Is this normal? What should we do?

I often create others resumes and have conducted some interviews as well. Most times, they teach you in college to condense your resume to one page. Realistically, this is not feasible considering most of us would have to leave out alot of information. I was talking with a friend of mine and mentioned I think I will make my resume double sided instead of printing 2 separate pages. Thus I only submit 1 page and I avoid the chance of the 2nd page being lost. Do you think this would count against me or would you find it innovative?

"My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me" is not only a declaration of steadfast faith in ultimate deliverance, but also a foretelling of the events that occurred during the Crucifixion.

Or am I just the last lamb to realize the obvious? It's just that I don't remember any sermons making that observation, which seems to make those words maybe the most profound that Christ uttered in his extremity.
