I'm not sure , I suppose we want to like a great nation who helps others and thinks of other people .

The trouble is we can't deal with our own problems first

Woah, great question!

Let me shed some light on all this for ya...you kinda need some.

America is the land of the free. Why don't these homeless people go get something called a JOB! We have jobs in this country so 'homeless people' won't be homeless anymore. If the dems would stop making government programs that just waste tax dollars and keep the homeless people homeless, we could have more money spent on the police.

Oh! That brings up the debate about violence...Police are here to stop the violence...If you want to see violence....move to Israel...go into a coffee shop and try not to worry about a suicide bomber coming in and blowing himself and everyone around him up.

Well, we also have police to stop the drug trafficing...if your liberal hippies wouldn't have smoked pot in the 60's and 70's, then we wouldn't have such a big problem in the first place!

I'm glad we help others out...it's called compassion...

hope I helped with your quest for knowledge!

Because the people that do this to make a living from contributions of the people would be out of work.
Look at all the Help Organizations wanting money. Heck, there soooo many, yet they have not solved the problem. Why? They making a good living off this. They lose their job and that just be more homeless to care for and drug addicts as they try to forget their troubles. Then they become violent because they losing their nice homes and cars.

1. Anyone can get a job at McDonalds or Wal-mart in the US so I am sorry to say...no need to be homeless and if someone wants to say you cant live off the pay well I have five kids and my husband and I do fine with 1 income and if he had to he would get 3 jobs to support us. BTW he has no college education he has worked very hard to get where he is at with his job and started out at minimum wage..10 years ago and is now management.

2. Maybe the American people should just start being kind and caring and stop themselves from being violent.

3. American People should stop doing drugs and there would be no reason for traffiking to occur.

We live in a free country with soooo many oppurtunities, aid etc people are just to lazy to seek oppurtunity. I see Americans wanting things handed to them on a silver platter....just look at our welfare system. It is a good thing for those in need but how many lazy people use it to their advantage so they don't have to work. There is no excuse in my eyes living in America...our woman and children are no abused and looked down on by our Gov't. The Gov't doesnt control our jobs, our lives, how many kids we can have etc etc and so on.

Because you have to address issues both inside and outside of our country - the US is not a self-sufficient island.
