There are lots of Baby Kryant fans. Just look at all the ones who whine as much as their hero. They have to bash the great and classy MJ because, since Baby Kryant will never be anywhere near as great as MJ, they ignorantly try and bash MJ down to Baby's level (not unlike whining to Colorado cops that Shaq buys his women off) to cover up for Kryant's (and their own) inadequacies.
Personally, despite my thinking that Kryant is such an ayehole that even a blind man could park two Hummers side by side in his cavernous colorectal region, his selfish offensive talent is best suited to losing basketball.

It is amazing, a lot of folk don't like this guy. Poor fella. I personally have given Kobe all the chances I care to give. I remembered him waving off Karl Malone's pick and roll when they were teammates. Did he really have something to do with Shaq leaving La? Kobe just don't want to make things easy for himself. I am a fan of his offensive skill set but just image if his mentality was more like LeBron James or Dwayne Wade, then people would be hating him for a different reason. This may be a bit extreme but give Steve Nash Kobe's height and ability. I guess it is rare to fine someone with Kobe's skill with a level head . . . sounds like Jordan to me. There will be Kobe haters no matter what he does but he doesn't have to make it so easy. Even though by the time it ends he will be one of the nicest but I think it is also a bit of a waste because with a better head on his shoulders, we could only image what he could really achieve. It is really difficult to be a fan of Kobe Bryant but maybe in time I could learn to really appreciate him.

I respect Kobe for what he does on the floor. If you were to say that you don't then you are completely ignorant to the game of basketball because he is one of the greatest players of all time. As for being a fan of him...absolutely not. Many people forget the fact that he forced a young girl to have sex with him. Whether or not it was consensual, he still cheated on his wife. He has also brought an arrogance and ********* to the NBA that has stained the league. There is a difference between Kobe's arrogant/cocky attitude and MJ's confident attitude.

He's a talented individual, and can be good when he's NOT thinking of just himself (i.e. when he was with Shaq)..but that said, he is almost always thinking of himself and that is why he isn't going to get far. Personality goes a long way in creating a championship quality team and if you have someone who wants the sole spotlight and constantly demand the ball, he's not going to beneficially influence those around him. Winning is all about team ball, because the current Lakers have shown us that he can't really carry a team nor inspire his role players to do anything but the bare minimum to earn their keep. Gone are the days of solo superstar (i.e. Michael Jordan), it's all about the entire enchilada.

It is not Kobe Bryants' fault why he is being called a Ball hog or a self-centered or whatever the case is. When you dont have anybody else on you team besides a upcoming rookie...you have to shoot 34 times. Nobody was talking smack when he was scoring 50 points a night. Period The End!!

Lebron, t-mac, paul pierce, ray allen, duane wade, and VC can all put up 50 points at will (if they never pass the ball). Dark Mililic could get 3 rings if he rode on big shaq-daddies coattails. Kobe is good, but extremely overated. If shaq had stayed in orlando and tmac had found his way there, we would be asking this question about t-mac, while kobe would be quietly raping and cheating on the various women in his life without the headlines.

No. Kobe not only managed to get the Lakers to do something they never do(get rid of a dominant Center Shaq), but he now wants out of his contract that they gave to make him happy. He wanted a younger team, they gave it to him. He's able to take as many shots as he wants. He needs to be sat down told to do his job, stop wining and step up. Let the coaches coach and the GM pick players not for what they can possibly do on the court, but for their all around ability to be a part of a team. Remember that, there's no I in team. And there's NO I IN THE LA LAKERS!

We can deny the fact that Kobe is a very talented baskeball player but that's it because he does not have the attitude of a good leader that is why he cannot lead his team to the nba finals. He is too egoistic

People do not like those athletes who dominate the sport that there team is in. People hated on Micheal Jordan because he was a winner. But not too many people hat on losers. Kobe is an elite player and being hated on is just to be expected Boss.

What is your definition of talent???? someone who has an ego so big drives out Shaq and who knows how many championships out of LA, or is it the fact that he does not pass? or could it be his wonderfull FG%???
No doubt he can play and is one of the best players in the league, but he is NOT, and I repeat NOT an elite player that will win a championship as the main player...... he is selfish and hasn't learned that basketball actually is a team sport........
