Our computer was fried in an electrical storm. Fortunately I have a backup of our files and settings on an external hard drive (this was made using Windows XP Professional). All I really care about is restoring our files to a different computer. My choices are: using my husband's work computer, which also runs Windows XP Pro or use our soon-coming new computer which will have Windows Vista Home Premium.
Is it possible to open the .bkp file in our external hard drive using my husband's computer and restoring just the files (I don't want to overwrite his work stuff)? Or will everything be restored? Is it possible to do this on our new computer with Vista, even though the backup was made using XP?
Help!

I see people auctioning off a book or books like on ebay and someone will always ask is it a book club edition. Can someone tell me why it matters? Unless you are like collecting them for some reason...I can't see why it matters. Thanks!

I just received a bill from a collection agency. Its from a cell phone company. Cingular. Apparantly, they got the name and some how the Social Security number right as well but the billing address, phone number, everything else is wrong. Obvioulsy, some one use my name and my social security number to open a Cingular account and now I have a bill to pay for something I was never awared off.
1. How can I report this as a fraud.
2. Anyway I can get my money back
3. Can I put this info on my credit report if necessary

Three men rent a hotel room together. The cost is $30, so each pays ten. However when they get to the room, they are disappointed with its size, so they call down to the front desk. The manager agrees to refund some of their money, and he gives the bellhop $5 to return to them. The bellhop can't figure out how to divide five dollars among three men, so he gives each man $1 and keeps $2 for himself.

So, the men have paid $27 dollars in total. The bellhop kept $2. But 27 plus 2 is only $29; what happened to the other dollar?

I walk to alot of christian couples, and I talk about heaven. They are like there's gonna be something better than my wife in heaven, or my husband. He or she is only a worldly thing. I am insulted, Why are you all so loveless. Now I know why the father say his love is not with marrages. You are all loveless when it comes to marrage.
