I had the same problem with my ex. It took me 6 months to get him out. I actually had to go to the courthouse and Evict him. If he abuses her she could get a restraining order and have the cops forcfully remove him.

The guy shouldn't be there in the first place! In the Court order, this should have been handled already from the beginning of proceedings!
The lady can get a Court Order, or something, but she should go through the Atty. she had when this all began.
That situation is one that is no way to live! The children can be taken away from her, so she has to watch out for Child Services "knocking" at her door! The kids should NOT be stuck in the middle of their "Raving" parents as it IS!
Think of them FIRST! Your "Drama" isn't good for them to grow up with, just remember! Kids become "damaged goods" in a situation with parents like your Friend.

Tell her to go to a local shelter, or wherever there is help available for abused women and children. If she can't find her local one then call the national hot-line for domestic violence and they will point her in the right direction. She needs to get a restraining order and there are ways to get one which will be of little, and in most cases no cost to her. Once the restraining order is served then he will have to move or go to jail, either way he will be out. Mental abuse is just as hurtful as physical and often more-so, so Good Luck!

I'm not sure of where you live, but she could sneek and call an # 800 , like the Bethany house or something like that in her area who help women in her situation and it doesn't cost anytyhing, just a minute of her time but she will have to stick to her decision and she will get all the help and support she needs..the community posts these numbers in various places like womens public restrooms and government offices, etc.

Contact the authorities, trusted friends, family (if you have any), etc. Have a restraining order put into action. After that, if he goes against the restraining order, he'll be arrested, so the ex wife would be safe, in most cases. She has to stand up to protect herself and her family.

The next time he even raises his voice - call the police. Then, the next day you go to the courthouse, and get an order of protection (restraining order). The police will serve him, and make him leave.

She needs to contact an attorney right away. Also, contact the police and let them know the situation. Who knows what he may do if he is feeling desperate or threatened in the situation. Those children need to be safe, as well as their mother.
