I keep seeing all these questions on here about how this one cheated on me, or I like this guy and he likes me, but he is in a relationship. Whatever happened to one person, being with one person, and not looking elsewhere.

This has always been the number that I hear as for when your body will go into starvation mode. Everyone has a different calorie intake need that they are required to have daily, so isn't this number also up for modifation per person? Could one person's "starvation mode" number be lower than another?

I I have been Married for 7 years and we dated for 5 before that. Now he is rude to me all the time. One minute his is nice then the next her is making ugly remarks and just trying to start a fight. Last night he left for the gym in a good mood and when he came home he was mean and grumpy saying" When ar eyou goin gto fold that laundry you just did" and on an on and on! We go MONTHS without having sex and he blames it on various things. We have a 5 y/o daughter and we have a baby on the way I am 29 weeks pregnant. I got pregnant on the rare occassion that we were intimate and he is ugly about it saying he does not want another baby and even told me I should get an abortion. Then the next minute he apologizes and acts like everything is o.k. I really dont believe in divorce nor have we discussed it but I DRED going home. I never know what kind of mood he will be in and I am so tired of the arguing. I dont think he is cheating. I just think he is feed up with being married.

Theres alot of discussions going on now about immigration in the UK & it got me to thinking. For the last fifty years or so thousands of immigrants have arrived in this country & prospered & yet they still seem unsatisfied & are always complaining. We've set up organisations for them(the CRE & Black Policemans Associations for example); we've passed laws to protect them & their cultures; we've built schools & religious buidings for them; & changed our ways to make them feel more at home, but why have we done all this? If I moved to India or Africa I wouldn't expect the government there to house me, build me a church & establish a school for my kids. I wouldn't expect my neighbours to pull down their national flag to keep me happy or not comment on my strange clothing. I'd fully expect myself to try the best I could to fit in & at least appear grateful for being allowed to live in their country. Why do immigrants to this country behave to arrogantly?

M.S. meaning: "mainstream" Christians. I hate to use this term, but I needed to differentiate between the different groups for a variety of answerers.

My wife and I went to a wedding last weekend and when they had the champagne toast - the glasses they used actually had like a long stem to them and in them it looked like little diamonds moving around - my wife said they were crystals... and she liked them very much - but I can't find them online or on Ebay because I don't know what they are called - and I can't ask my wife because I'm trying to order them in time to have them for our 3rd wedding anniversay next weekend...

In the Matthew chapter 1 there's a genealogy in which the author claims there are 3 groups of 14 generations each. Let's ignore the fact that in one group the author omits names/generations found in the Jewish Scriptures, which were presumably his source. If you count each generation only once, you end up with two groups of 14 and one group of 13.

As someone who doesn't accept Biblical inerrancy, this is not a problem for me: 14 is the numerical value of the name David, and the whole point of using the number is symbolic. But if you believe that the Bible is accurate in all its details when it provides numbers, historical information, scientific data, etc. then this is a problem.

How do you answer this? Would you propose that there be a special "Biblical mathematics"? Shouldn't the evidence from the Bible itself determine your view, rather than imposing your presuppositions about inerrancy on the Bible?
